Overview

Cosmoindustrialization and YOU is a Sci-fi chronicle of mankind and other species' exploits in the 37th century told through a series of guides, log entries, recruiting pamphlets, snide commentaries made by bitter ex-employees, and more.

Setting

by the thirty-seventh century, humankind has expanded far into the galaxy and controls a whopping 83 percent of all star systems within the milky way. their technological prowess, while still relatively primitive compared to other species', is nothing to be scoffed at and has been a key factor in humanity's victory in many a war. in particular, their recent mastery over hardlight technology has granted them incredible technological versatility, able to simply build an emitter and program the containment field with a few outlines to make a tool or weapon for virtually any scenario. with this technological leap forward, they quickly expanded past their star systems, cloaking their ships in the same containment field as their hardlight equipment to protect them against the adverse effects of quantum skips.

On the other side of the universe, however, evolved a different kind of intelligent life: the insectoid Kaa’lroq, or “Stalk-Jaws” as many a human have called them. With unique mandibles perched on prehensile stalks, similar to an elephant, it’s no surprise where the nickname came from. The Kaa’lroq evolved on Aegis-12, a planet only vaguely resembling earth, the only similarity between them being a similar level of gravity. The flora and fauna of their homeworld are uniquely Iron-based, giving their natural pigment a distinct orange tint. Over a period of millions of years the Kaa’lroq dominated Aegis-12 and developed an advanced civilization, primarily focused around Marine trading as Aegis-12 was mostly covered with vast oceans of water tinted red by the large amounts of Iron on the planet. After they had plundered their home of all its bounty, they left it behind in an exodus mirroring humanity’s own. Of course, they ran into conflict. The largest of which was with the humans themselves. The battle raged for the better half of the 28th century before both sides weighed their options and came to a truce.

The result of this Peace was the Unified Corporate Government, Which served as a peacekeeping organization, goods distribution company, and practically every other industry or governmental branch at once. The UCG was at first limited to the small string of galaxies between Aegis-12 and Earth, but eventually grew to encompass about 27% of the observable universe at its peak. This fourth golden age brought forth many boons for the UCG, and it eventually housed over 38 different intelligent species of life within its border.

as with all great things, however, this piecemeal civilization came to an end when a hostile threat emerged and overpowered their combined forces. What exactly this threat was however has not been uncovered yet, and as of Trydorian standard Year 876, no information on what could have toppled this mighty alliance has been discovered by even the Archive’s finest Historians.
