Heaven Above. Haven Below.
This content takes place in the Haven setting of Imagindarium's Creation.

Hearth, commonly referred to by the inhabitants of Haven as "the Moon," is a plane of the Mavimyst characterized by its barren, rocky white surface. While its true position is of ill-determined length from its parent, its functional distance lies approximately 230,000 kilometers from Haven. It orbits the planet as a secondary plane, manifesting in the sky as a massive sphere of ghostly white, black, and grey.

Hearth is perhaps the single-most ubiquitous fixture in all of world history, as nearly every individual who has ever lived has laid eyes upon the Moon shining in the night sky. It appears in nearly all world mythologies and religions, as well as being depicted in countless forms of art, cultural practices, and even within world language.

Despite its existence being tied to that of Haven, the world itself couldn't be any more different than the planet below. Whereas Haven is a lush, verdant paradise of life, Hearth's surface is largely a desolate wasteland of lifeless rock, lacking any form of sky, and instead, only the vast starline of the Mavimyst, and an imposing view of Haven can be seen.

Throughout recorded history, and even long before it, Hearth has been visited by many Havenborne inhabitants, using various magical methods to achieve this feat. Perhaps the most notable of these was the Edian Empire, who at the height of their power held several enclaves across its surface, before they would ultimately collapse following the Curse of Mortality. However, numerous sapient races exclusive to the world can be found on both upon the surface, and deep within, many being very alien to those found upon the planet by which it orbits.

Physical

Predominant Geography

As mentioned above, Hearth primarily consists of an endless, greyish-white waste of dust and rock, eroded away into a sharp powder. The majority of the moon's surface consists of nothing but rock, with select large mountains and plains existing here and there, though most are so jagged and broken as to make travel across them extremely dangerous. In fact, much of the moon is not particularly hospitable to Havenborne life, lacking in all forms of liquid water and or air upon the surface. However, like Haven, a massive underground series of labyrinthine caverns crisscross throughout the whole diameter of the world. Within these underground cavernous expanse, select water revivors can be found nestled within large volcanic pools, acting as immense sources of fresh water.
