The First Expeditions
The first voyage to Naivasana by the newly-made Republic of Cygnus-Orion took off in 2680 and came to an abrupt end in 2710 after being targeted by a military defence grid. In retrospect, this planet became known for having been colonised confidentially a century earlier by what became the faction of the Celestial Imperium - this event would begin a long rivalry between the two factions, with political tensions lasting through the 30st century.
Shortly after the incident of 2710, war broke out, sparking efforts to establish stations at the edges of the system from both factions. Through the coming decades ships would be sent en masse to repel the local military forces, although with a decade long head start on interplanetary infrastructure the developing faction would have a hard time caving into the forces of the Republic. Following the war, the established infrastructure built by the local faction and ceased from the Republic would provide the basis for the victor, Celestial Imperium, to continue colonising the system. By the mid-2800s the planets of the system would be harvested for fuel, draining the planets of any industrial use for colonists living through the late-2900s.
Currently, the system is independent following the undisclosed migration of Celestial Imperium's HQ to the God's Prison Nebula, leaving Gliese 682c largely uninhabited and unexploited. The remains of the first voyage still remain on the surface and is still a popular tourist hotspot.
