We are the Veil Foundation.

If you are reading this, it is more than likely that you are not a member of the Veil. It is also likely that you belong to one of the many hidden groups, secret societies, and shadow organizations that exist within this Age. The number of organizations that know of our existence can probably be confined to the single digits, if not the low double digits. Many would know us by our various aliases and proxy groups - Which ones those are, is classified.

You most likely have many questions. Allow us to answer the foremost one - You know of our existence. You have accessed this information. The information you are about to read are examples of ‘Veils’ we have dealt with, or are under our custody. These may be real. They may not be. Depending on your level of capability, you may be able to figure out which. But that’s not the question you want answering the most.

What you want to know is why.

Why, if we are so secretive, if we place such high value on maintaining the Veil, are we telling you of it, and the anomalies that we have documented? Why not simply hide this information? Put up various further encryptions and protocols to stop you from accessing our files? Why not preserve the Veil in this moment?

Because unlike the Lightfolk, you already know of us. And though tacet agreements exist to respect one another’s secrecy lest the other expose our own, conflict persists. We do not share the goals of either the Brotherhood or the Decree. We claim no interest in the machinations of the Gold Council. And the only interest we have in the wars that wage across the Voidsea and the Realmlands.

By permitting you this information, we seek to avoid further conflict. It is the desire of the Foundation that you understand the threats that we deal with, and that in doing so, you understand our goals. We do not believe these goals conflict with your own. We seek only to ensure safety, security, and whatever normalcy can be gleamed from the existence of forces like Taekni. We do not seek to conceal - We seek to integrate, to maintain Consensus.

So we invite you to read the information you find here - You’ll find redacted information, to protect our secrecy. You’ll find some entries to be inaccurate. Some, you’ll be surprised that we had a hand in at all. And by the end of it, we hope for an end to whatever conflicts you have against us.

Yarre Junil-los, Zackson Kardey, Lloyd Aorthe, Hidden Blade - We know where you are. We will always know. We will know if and when you read this. And we will know if you decide any action against us. And to any successors, know that this will apply to you as well. None of you are untouchable.

Any interference from this point onward will be met with intense, overwhelming force.
