Alishair Aliyev

Alishair Aliyev was a scientist working at the Worldwide Insect Project in Chicago, he was a part of the Arthropod Genome Mapping Project specifically. After a disagreement with how his research would be used after snooping around, his boss, being paid and influenced by Cipher Ambrose to use the research for his own purposes ordered Alishair to be 'gotten rid of' and hired a group of hitmen to dispose of him. So the next night while Alisher was working in his the hitman raided the lab, shooting Alishair in the chest and destroying the samples he was working on. By a stroke of fate, two samples where splashed on top of his dying body. those samples being a vial of Primordial Ooze, and Mantis DNA. Those Ooze began to mutate Alishair, so instead of dying he underwent a miraculous mutation gifting him the abilities and appearance of a mantis. He took on the name Toxodera and along with his sidekick CJ the House Fly, similarly mutated in the chaos, took to the streets to take revenge on his would be killers. Later they became the protectors of the Chicago area and eventually a founding member of the Guardians of Earth.

History

Early Life

Alishair was born in 1993 in Kazakhstan, but when he was 4 years old he and his family immigrated to the United States, where they found a home in one of the many suburbs surrounding Chicago. From an early age Alishair had a fascination with insects a passion he continued to develop as he grew eventually graduating from University with a Degree in Entomology.

Becoming Toxodera

He soon found work as a scientist working at the Worldwide Insect Project in Chicago, specifically their Arthropod Genome Mapping Project. Unbeknownst to him the Project Manager, intended to use the information gathered to develop intense pesticides to wipe out hundreds of species of pest insect along with "anything else that happens to get in the way". He eventually found out about this plan and was furious, he quit the project and intended to inform the authorities about what was happening.

Not wanting to have his research shut down and the thousands of dollars he spent going to waste, the project manager hired three saboteurs to 'get rid of' Alishair. So that night while Alisher was finishing some personal projects and packing his things the hitman raided the lab, shooting Alishair in the chest and destroying the samples he was working on. K'keeri Invasion of 2015

Alishair had already spent about four years protecting the citizens of the Chicago area from a variety of threats when the K'keeri ships made landfall in Frostbank. Despite focusing their attack on Frostbank the K'keeri forces did deploy soldiers to the Chicago area, forcing Alishair to stay and defend the city rather than join the team initially.
