Madeline Ochre was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1985. Adrian Ochre was born her twin brother.
When Madeline is 16 in 2001, she finds her brother killed by suicide. It was the grief from this event that awoke her power within her. While her ability to commune with spirits allowed her to remain in contact with her brother even after death, she found herself overwhelmed by the opening up of an entire world that she can interact with, as well as depressed from all the death that came with it.
She sought a solution, a way to stop feeling.
