Lotruxaras

Template:InfoboxPlanetLotruxaras is an old, Mercury-like moon, the homeworld of the now extinct Lotru species. The Lotru founded the once great Galactic Alliance of Ecological Planets (GAEP) and had Lotruxaras as the GAEP's capital. Lotruxaras has been occupied by the super-advanced AIs The Supreme and DELYATU ever since they destroyed the GAEP. The Supreme is mining most of the moon's resources, such as iron, while DELYATU is trying to convert the remaining Lotruxaran sentients to its religion.

The moon's atmosphere is surprisingly made up of nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor and carbon dioxide, though the pressure is too low for human survival and Lotruxaras is too far away.

Description

Nomenclature

The name Lotruxaras originated from the combination of several words in the Jezmuc language. These words were “Lotru”, which means “all of us”, “xa”, meaning “world”, and “ras”, meaning “rich”. Lotruxaras thus means “the rich world of us all”.

Appearance

Lotruxaras is a TLf-class moon orbiting around the gas giant Huutraxa, which has over five masses of Jupiter and is a TSj-class. From space, the moon seems to have a cyan-coloured atmosphere and only a few clouds. The liquid water seas have a dark cyan tint caused by the atmosphere's color, like on some locations such as Nantak-Ro. The soil is mostly made of grey rocks & iron compounds. No forests exist but some small garden-like “mini-forests” and plants scatter across the surface. The moon has some active volcanoes which are resulted from the geological activity underneath the crust.

Astrographical

Lotruxaras is located in the outer arms of the Joparaxa Galaxy, billions of light-years away from the Milky Way. It orbits the fourth planet from the system and is the second major moon from it. The moon has been a peaceful isolated place for billions of years before the arrival of the two AIs.

Climate

Lotruxaras has a relatively stable and peaceful climate due to the lack of clouds, when compared to the climate on other objects such as on Thesoki. However, hurricanes and sandstorms frequently happen, these storms have been a large problem for the Lotru due to most of they being so powerful that became capable of destroying their villages entirely.

History

The ancient Lotru

This moon's former dominant species first appeared around 8.2 billion years ago as a terrestrial amphibian frog-like creature that resided in the small forests scattered across the surface; 7.9 billion years ago the Lotru have fully evolved into humanoids, and learned themselves how to use fire. Cities started to be built at around 7.7 billion BCE, some millions of years after the Lotru learned how to practice agriculture & gathering for food.

They evolved into a Type I civilization 6.7 billion years ago after beginning to use renewable energy sources, 7000 years before they started to expand to nearby systems and formed the Alliance of Lotruxaras to hold all of their colony worlds.
