Human-Zythyn war

During The First Renaissance, a minor, now mostly forgotten conflict happened between the Humans and Zythyns. the reason for this conflict being forgotten is that both humans and Zythyn were generally ashamed about the conflict, and kept few records of it.

The Cause

The humans during the Renaissance were in a "manifest destiny"-like phase, and while Zythyns and Humans were usually allies conflicts did occur. the only of these conflicts to escalate into a war was the Human-Zythyn war.Template:War description templateThe war happened after the humans invaded a minor nation north of the Zythyns. the Zythyns, being friends with the nation, denounced the attack. the leader of the humans at this time was particularly "trigger-happy", and declared war on the Zythyns over the denouncement. the conflict started out with the Zythyns winning most of the battles, but at some point the humans adapted and beat the Zythyns, taking parts of their northern territory.

The Aftermath

after the war was over, many humans petitioned to return the territory back to the Zythyns, but the government never did. although the two eventually re-allied, the strain on relations caused by the war never fully healed until after the Renaissance
