Manufacture of freighters, fighters, and capital ships
Overview
Starshot Enterprises is a ship manufacturing corporation that makes capital ships with its abundance of resources. Founded in the mid-22nd century to become the backbone of resource transportation during the early days of widespread spaceflight, Starshot Enterprises works closely with the Republic of Sol to make freighters and fighters. Among their most impressive achievements is the fleet carrier Jewel, which carries the entire RoSID fleet and contains the largest Alcubierre drive created to date.
Ships that Starshot Enterprises has manufactured:
Phoenix

The Phoenix was Starshot's foray into the shipyard industry, a pre-Renaissance vessel characterized by having very little cargo and habitation space, and using outdated forms of Bussard propulsion. Manufactured prior to Starshot introducing the bulkier designs seen in space today, it features a spinning ring around the central structure to provide a feeling of gravity to the crew (approximately 0.7g). Despite having infinite delta-v due to interstellar drag (with a top speed of 0.12c), it was built before developments in cryogenic hibernation, though it does have food and air generation onboard for its crew of 16.
The IX-231 CRGO was a primitive freighter capable of interstellar travel and turning into a space station. It served as the catalyst for the first interstellar space stations and colonies, playing a pivotal role in early human expansion beyond Earth.
The successor to the 231, the IX-251 CRGO removed wet workshop functionality, freeing up habitation space in favor of expanded cargo capacity. Using a more efficient fuel source, it was capable of freighting heavier loads over longer distances, and proved much more versatile.
The IX-313 Explorer was an alternate version of the 251. In this model, cargo spaces were repurposed as fuel tanks, and bigger engines with better nozzle designs allowed unparalleled efficiency and range. The ship was designed with the ability to jettison its fuel tanks, converting into a wet workshop when necessary.
Bolyeria

The Bolyeria is a gargantuan mass transport vehicle, built for mass transport between planets and stars. Measuring 1.773 km in length, it boasts 25 million cubic meters of luxurious living space, capable of carrying a total population of 47,000 with a standard crew of 500. Two rings located at the aft can simulate up to 0.4g gravity for about 1,500 people. It is also equipped with full food and air generation capabilities.
The ship runs on two modes: a Bussard drive for infinite-range interstellar travel and high-thrust conventional engines for interplanetary movement, providing thrusts of 0.05g and 1g respectively. The Bolyeria has a berthing capacity of two medium vessels and four small vessels, with docking and landfall capability at specialized launch facilities. The observation deck atop the ship's aft stands 150 meters tall, with imbalances from its tower offset by an underside keel.
Initially produced in 2985 with 50 units made (of which 25 remain active), the Bolyeria has several variations: the lightweight S-class, the pad-landing capable P-class, and the atmospheric-shielded, hydrodynamic E-class for planetary landings. For interstellar travel, the delta-v is infinite when using Bussard drives, but interplanetary operations yield a delta-v of 250 km/s and an RCS delta-v of 45 km/s.
"Twenty five million cubic meters of luxurious living — a flying city to be reckoned with. Whether you are taking a Bolyeria cruiser for a jump to the next planet over or for a generation-spanning Interstellar expedition, an enjoyable time onboard is nothing short of guaranteed. Flights can easily be booked from the Starshot Enterprises cyberhub; don't wait around!" — Starshot Exploration Division's marketing department
The Bolyeria often comes equipped with Boidae transportation shuttles and Titanoboa combat cruisers. The class S variant is most commonly seen in short-term interplanetary transport, while the E-class variant, capable of ocean and dry land landings, has been primarily used during emergency evacuations from planets flagged as dangerous. Much of the ship's interior has been adapted for comfort in both zero gravity and under high acceleration, featuring a habitation ring that can spin to simulate 4g environments, which must be locked during high-thrust maneuvers or landings.
During approach, the E-variant decelerates delicately over a landing site — whether ocean or platform — and performs a careful dethrottle sequence before touchdown. Planetary landings on dry worlds are done on reinforced platforms to avoid needing bulky landing gear, though such landings demand heavy maintenance on the platforms due to engine stress.
Clydesdale
The Clydesdale is a current-generation interstellar freighter measuring 303 meters wide, 2,806 meters long, and 189 meters tall. It accommodates a crew of 250 and was manufactured in 2910. It is a much-improved design over its predecessor, the Bairdi, better accommodating smaller ships and heavier cargo loads.

Umbriel
The Umbriel is a small wedge-shaped fighter measuring 14 meters wide, 17 meters long, and 6 meters tall. It has a crew capacity of 5 and was manufactured in 2355. Compact and reliable, it serves primarily as a small escort or interception fighter.
Titanoboa Dreadnought
The Titanoboa Dreadnought is a heavy combat cruiser measuring 51 meters wide, 197 meters long, and 33 meters tall. With a crew capacity of 50, it was manufactured in 2356 and remains a formidable vessel capable of withstanding engagements with ships much larger than itself.
"The Dreadnought is a capable vessel that can hold its place when pitted against other ships much larger than itself; it is no wonder, then, that much evolved models of the same basic design are still seen centuries after it made its initial debut." — Republic of Sol Internal Defence
The Jewel is a colossal fleet carrier measuring 144 meters wide, 334 meters long, and 103 meters tall. It has a crew capacity of 200 and was manufactured in 2535. It carries the Internal Defence Fleet and is noted for having the largest Alcubierre drive ever built.
The Trander is a massive combat ship that acts as one of the guardians of the Sol system alongside the rest of the fleet. Its sheer size and firepower make it a key strategic asset.
Bairdi
The Bairdi (also known as Barday) class ship was the flagship of Starshot’s cargo division prior to the unveiling of the Clydesdale. This large freighter, measuring 140 meters wide, 479 meters long, and 72 meters tall, could accommodate 600 crew and was manufactured in 2701.
The Bairdi features a thrust capability of 0.43g for main drives and 0.05g for RCS thrusters. Though equipped with a Bussard drive offering theoretically infinite delta-v, it lacks reactionless drive technology. Berthing of smaller vessels was only possible during docking and not during independent operations. The standard crew compliment included 20 humans and 1,500 robots, with food and air generation being limited. To manage long voyages, half the crew would enter hibernation in two-month alternating shifts. The primary viewports, including the bridge, were located at the front of the ship.
