Talk:Kalliolel
More actions
I don't really like this.
Yeah so I understand the desire to not have people be in VR all the time but you don't need to invent a computer that sets back history. People probably wouldn't spend all their time in VR anyway, and there would in fact still be desire to improve society and explore
Also, if you think post scarcity can exist in that way at the same time as wealth inequality, you're kinda wrong. The kind of society required to even set up Kalliolel isn't very believable or relatable, even if created in the name of realism. You as a worldbuilder can just―not have people be hedonists? You don't have to invent infinite dopamine machines, and wouldn't it make more sense if the noospheric mind would not be able to be hedonist? It would need more meaningful enjoyment?
If you need an explanation for why people don't go into VR just have there be a threat of ego death, or of separation from reality, or just, losing enjoyment. It doesn't take something with this level of ramifications and insanity. @Duodecillionaire Swordofstabbing (talk) 22:00, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
