Chelites

The Chelites are a mysterious group of Androids who worship a scientist named "Chel" who created them.

Discovery

The Chelites were discovered in 2635 on a small island on Terra Nova. They were found dwelling in previously unknown factory on the island, that seemed to be automated, creating 5 new Chelites every 10 years. At the time of discovery, there were only 70 on the island, indicating that they have existed for at least 130 years. It is presumed that they have maintained the factory.

Appearance

Chelites seemed to be based on Chel's image, having a typical slim figure, human-like face and movements and mostly average intelligence. They stand 6ft tall, have a matte-white complexion and fake, wire-like hair.

Chelites also have an oval light on their chest which indicates their power. Green is when they are fully operational, red for when they're on standby or recharging and blue for when they're powering on.

Behaviour

Chelites tend to have a light-hearted and positive attitude, most likely modelled after their creator's personality. They are also quite advanced, having most basic human knowledge implemented into them. However, they are also able to feel sadness, which they greatly experienced when Chel passed away sometime in the past.

Despite their intelligence, they seem to worship their creator, Chel, performing a strange, "dance" of sorts around a picture of her, pretty much having their own culture prior to their discovery. While they do not view as her a goddess, they do this to honour her.

History

Not much is known about their history as even their memory on it sees a bit vague, although according to the first of them, simply referred to as "The First", Chel built them for a project of hers however, for reasons unknown, she left home and settled on the island, creating the factory, and later the rest of the Chelites in 2505. The First states that Chel didn't want her secrets out to the world so "The First" refuses to tell anyone of her past.

As of 2985, they have integrated into Terra Novan society, working jobs, living their own lives and even interacting with other androids. More of course, have been built and production on them has been expande, with there now being well over a thousand, spread across Terra Nova.

Who is Chel?

Again, it is unknown who "Chel" is or why she fled away to create them. Almost everything about her is shrouded in mystery though she seemed very knowledgeable on mechanics and science. It can be inferred that she was friendly, light-hearted and had a positive attitude, based on the behaviour and personality of the Chelites themselves. Though aside from those, she was also secretive, fleeing home and builing a culture of Androids without anyone's knowledge.
