Turon

"This World is an achievement on its own, the first planet ever settled by the Lewis Nations outside its own Galaxy, its safe place. The foundation of this colony gave way to an expansion through all of the Galaxies of Herschel, starting a new race and era through unexplored space. Turon is a *Terran World, a terrestrial terra, located in the Taio System, in the Megara Nebula, in Herschel Space. It was the First human colony in such nebula, as well as the first colony founded by the Lewis Nations outside the Lewis Galaxy. It was founded by the Empire of Mankind to which it belongs to this day.

Located in one of the main hyperspace routes, it is highly valued but it recently has loose importante to the world of Pandora, at a more strategic and crossroad of hyperspace routes in and out of the Nebula, connecting it to other galaxies and within the nebula, as many internal hyperspace routes connect in Pandora.

Turon is today an important military outpost of the Empire of Mankind and it's a key military deployer in case quick intervention needs to be done in another Galaxy other than Lewis.

Geography

Yulire

A continent of warm temperate jungles, it holds the only big desert in Turon, the Fields of Afigia, a very large arid plain set in three fields, the Land of Rocks called Etos, the Land of Sand, called Hurundun and the Land of Savannah called Kile. Kile is the most livable of the three fields of Afigia. Yulire however has thrive economically thanks to it's reach minerals and resources that are exported planetary wide for the whole economic output of the planet. Not only that, but much of the minerals extracted from Turon's rings are processed in the facilities of Yulire. It's largest city is Tisdial, the third largest in Turon and one of the oldest settlements.

Reme

The second biggest continent it crosses the planet from southwest to the noreast forming with Surit the Moligan Ocean. It provides large amounts of food and is the main base for manufacturing all sort of military services and appliances of technology. This is also specially true due to it's location within the planet that makes exports more effective to other continets. The City of Brogel is the main one in Reme and its considered the fourth largest city in the Planet.

Surit

The Biggest of the continents, its has a diverse set of scenarios and climates. Most of them are warm but it has costal temperate weather and flora in the regions and penninsulas surrounded by the ocean at higher lattitudes. It has the second biggest city of Zerilen.

Meder

The fourth continent in size, it holds the largest city in Turon and one of the oldest settlements stablished by the early settlers, the massive city of Aburos. This continent is for the most part oceanic in climate with beautiful mountains and terrain althrough rain is very much present, specially on it's coastlines. Most of the continent is traversed by a large river, the river Uvin, that ends up at the sea in the city of Aburos.

Awara

A small continent of Islands. There are three big ones and seven smaller ones. The biggest ones are called Futron, Hadren and Livos. Although small compared to the other continents it has a high density of population with beautiful cities such Nimedra, home to special military unit base. Here specially trained elite soldiers are deployed as long with many secretive services of intelligence in the Empire operating.

History

The first colonist arrived in 51,002 CE from the world of Brelax and Memphis in 3 colony ships carrying up to 5 million settlers each. The colony soon flourished and has, since then, become one of the Big Five Worlds of the Empire of Mankind in the Megara Nebula. Although it's importance has been overshadowed by the growth of Pandora which has surpassed the planet. Nevertheless, Turon remains the administrative capital of the Megara Nebula and a center of manufacturing and the aristocratic administration of the so called "Galaxy of Silk".

During the war between the Empire and the Federation, the Megara Nebula became one of the main epicenters of the battle with Turon resistic Federal invasion throughout much of the war, having at least a couple major battles taking place on Turon.
