Asamun/Binasa is a small elliptical galaxy that distantly orbits the Aylothn. It plays host to 3 native civilizations.

Regions

Core

The Core is the central portion of the galaxy between the Easter Lobe and Wester Lobe. Unlike most cores in galaxies, it has a lack of stars, gasses, and dust. Instead, it's more disperse and it has a relatively low metallicity causing life to be rarer there.

Wester Lobe

The Wester Lobe is the larger of a pair of lobes that orbits the Core. In its center, there is a supermassive black hole. It is denser than the Core and Barren Region and has higher metallicity than its smaller cousin, resulting in the rise of many civilizations including the Minalig. It also has more high-mass stars than normal elliptical galaxies due to tidal activities from the other core, but not high enough to change its color.

Easter Lobe

The Easter Lobe is the tinier pair of lobes. Again, there is a supermassive black hole in the center of it. It is less metallic than the Wester lobe making it less likely to host life. Despite that, it plays host to the Luatalg. The population of high mass stars is higher here but it isn't high enough to change its color

Barren Region

The Barren Region is similar to the core in many ways. It has a low star population and low metallicity, meaning that there are few habitable planets and no major civilizations here. There is no current effort to colonize the Barren Region

Bastion Globular Cluster

While not exactly a region, the Bastion Globular Cluster has received high amounts of interest from the Minalig Oligarchy. Like most globular clusters, it is filled with G, K, and M class stars, similar to its parent galaxy. But unlike most globular clusters, there is a large black hole at its center. 50 percent of this globular cluster is colonized by the Minalig Oligarchy, and the rest is filled with remnants of the Jyial Imperium, an ancient empire that controlled the entire Bastion Globular Cluster and all of Asamun/Binasa

Minalig

The Minaligs evolved on Auhal, a superterra world. Their total population across the galaxy is approximately 125 quadrillion individuals. They mastered Thaumaturgy long before they left their solar system, as there were a series of many progenitors through their history. Approximately half of all Minaligs are considered to be Magi, holding basic thaumaturgic abilities. Their technology is uniquely based entirely around Thaumaturgy, as they rely on it to go between other star systems. Most of the Minalig species live under a nation called the Minalig Oligarchy, which controls approximately 150,000 star systems. This nation is slowly expanding.

Luatalg

The Luatalgs are a peaceful, isolationist species that controls the planet Alaiuh. Their technological level matches that of an early space age civilization, as they have begun to explore their star system. Since the Luatalgs was raised in a very isolationist/pacifistic way, they have closed off any potential relations with other species. It is believed that a cult has been formed around the worship of the Minaligs due to their powerful Thaumic abilities.

Aeliaok

While the other species rose on terra worlds, the Aeliaoks are different. Instead, they inhabit a frigid world with seas of light hydrocarbons. They do not use fire, which does not exist in their primary habitat, though they use a reduction reaction with the same function as fire. Their society matches a stone-age civilization since they have not unlocked the ability to build coherent societies or harvest metal.

Lumu

The Lumu are a sapient species from Asamun/Binasa, hailing from Preias' Jewel, they are highly intelligent and are known to have resolved conflict with nations in Aylothn, they influence nations in almost every galaxy in the Local Universe, Including mostly Florathel Galaxy and the Lewis Galaxy.

History

Asamun/Binasa is around 4 billion years old, making it a very young elliptical galaxy. Before merging, it is thought that Asamun/Binasa were a pair of small starburst galaxies. However, due to their small size and in turn, relatively low gas content, they became depleted early in their history, shifting their color to a dull orange after the death of the remaining high-mass stars. Approximately 300 million years ago, the two galaxies finally collided, forming a single elliptical galaxy that has not yet stabilized into its final form. What rests today is a relatively inactive and sterile realm of disorder.
