Amaranth Legacy Newsletter Committee Regulations

Issued June 5, 2025
By LordSkorne7

Introduction

The Newsletter Committee is responsible for the development of the monthly Amaranth Legacy Newsletters, including brainstorming, content drafting, formatting, and publication. The Committee also creates any special edition Newsletters that may be required on occasion.

Members are encouraged to stay up-to-date on ongoing developments in the Community. However; participation does not require direct content contribution — assistance in formatting, proofreading, or linguistic polishing is equally valued.

Goals

  1. To produce a clear and concise monthly review and inventory of all major community actions and achievements in the month.
  2. To create special bulletins for significant Community Events intended for Community Members.
  3. To serve as a monthly archive documenting actions undertaken by the Community at large.

Regulations/Pledge

  1. Members of this Committee are expected to remain informed on ongoing events and developments, whether on the Site, the Discord Server, or other official channels.
  2. Members of this Committee are expected to actively participate in Newsletter production once notified.
  3. Members of this Committee are expected to use the website chat or Discord for communication. (Reminder: both platforms can view each other's messages.)

Roles

Roles within the Newsletter Committee follow a hierarchical structure. Higher-ranking members inherit the permissions and responsibilities of those below them unless otherwise stated.

  • Committee President – Leads the Committee and is typically one of the two main authors of the Newsletter. Holds veto rights over Newsletter content and sets Committee rules and the Committee Pledge.
  • Committee Vice-President – Acts as the second-in-command and is typically the other main Newsletter author. Shares veto rights unless overruled by the President. In case of conflict, a vote is held.
  • Newsletter Editor-in-Chief – Responsible for the overall formatting and editorial direction of the Newsletter. Holds template editorial rights.
  • Newsletter Editor – Active contributor who may draft content, format segments, or propose additions. Has access to the *Newsletter Editor's Room and voting rights.
  • Newsletter Proofreader – Assists with grammar, style, and clarity edits. Does not hold voting rights but may suggest revisions.
