Overview
Tulip Bouquet (AC - 13), also known as Michael Sizel and the Immortal Lovelord, is a male Gnarvesh born on the Theltheim Isles of Cerviel in the year 2,982 YM (Year of the Mavimyst). Over the decades, Tulip has emerged as a pivotal figure in the history of the Known World, as a founding member of the Champions of Haven and a former founder of their Rahmielic predecessor, Hope’s Arrow. Tulip’s heroism is legendary, having saved the entirety of Haven numerous times; most notably in his victory over the reborn-Divine Amare and the matriarchal cult that worshipped her.
A commonality held amongst much of the world's greatest heroes throughout recorded history is that of a past marred in melancholy and tragedy; and Tulip Bouquet is no exception. Prior to becoming the man he is today, Tulip's life was colored by a stamping out of his identity by all those around him, forcing preconceived notions of how he ought to act in accordance to the Amaranism cult, to even his very birthright as sovereign prince and lord of Theltheim having been robbed from him. Yet despite this, with his own strength, he would forge himself his own identity, one separate from the expressive hands of his abusers.
Tulip’s journey to selfhood was neither straightforward nor without sacrifice. His strength was forged in the crucible of pain, loss, and unyielding expectations. Though he'd be lucky enough to enjoy the company of many steadfast allies in his quest to forge his own identity in this world. Particularly, he would find friendship with those who would become the original founding members of Hope's Arrow; Zo'Zima, Yolanda and Lucien, the three of them in particular encouraging Tulip to always look forward.
Beyond his own personal journey, Tulip’s experiences instilled in him an unshakable conviction: that no one should be denied the right to define their own identity in this world. This belief drives his unyielding dedication to the protection of Haven and its people, and he has faced many villainous beings and forces in its defense. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the whole of the planet Haven owes much to Tulip Bouquet, as his countless sacrifices and unwavering resolve have repeatedly steered it away from the brink of annihilation. From defeating god-like entities, to the dismantling of oppressive regimes, Tulip’s actions have shaped the course of Haven’s history.
Appearance
Despite being male, Tulip is often defined by his androgynous appearance, frequently being misgendered as female. His soft, rose-pink hair falls in a slightly tousled, shoulder-length style, and is quite vibrant in its hue. His eyes are often express in a warm and honey-brown color; a rarity amongst Rozelhana. His skin is fair and unblemished, save for a faint scar hidden beneath his jawline, a token earned in his battle against Ekodaxius Athalem.
Tulip’s physique is lithe yet strong, with a lean frame, thin arms and legs, often masking the immense well of strength Tulip possesses. This stands at odds with most Gnarvesh races, with most having very stalky and bulky bodies comprised of thick layers of muscle and fat, though it is in-line with other Rozelhana, as their slim figure is one of the race's most defining features, save the bright red hues of hair. Unique to Tulip, however is his height, standing at an impressive four feet eleven inches, often making him tower over most other Gnarvesh.
Tulip is rarely seen without his ornate armor created from the rose-pink metal endemic to Andiroth, "Rosalite," named after his respective race. Often, it is adorned with blooming flowers and curling vines, though often he removes these in combat situations. As of 3,066 YM, due to increases in his Hemomantic Abilities, this armor's function as a defensive measure is largely made irrelevant, and is merely worn by choice rather than necessity. Outside of armor, Tulip most often wears a soft-white flowered top, and a short skin, colored brightly pink. Though the "level" can vary, Tulip most often wears typical feminine clothing, and not often wears outfits deemed to be traditionally masculine.
The active choice Tulip places in his unique appearance and fashion choices further underscore his defiance of conventional expectations. Originally forced to adopt an appearance fitting prescribed standards of femininity, Tulip now actively chooses to present himself to the world as such, yet adamantly remain defiant of this and asserting that he is indeed male, and identity extends far beyond simple choice of physical appearance or attire. Even in combat situations, he maintains elements of his distinctive style, showcasing his refusal to compromise his personal expression, regardless of circumstance.
