Fasia is a Void Island located in the [[Voidsea]], within the Mytos Void Archipelago, acting as it's capital world. It is located within the [[Skyriver|Sky River]] Gyre, and is the Capital of the [[Fasian Dominion]], which is nominally part of the [[Cosmic Union]].

In addition, it is believed that up to 27% of the flora and fauna on Fasia has it's evolutionary origins off-world, indicating that in the past, a variety of [[Voidsea]] faring Kinde have visited the world. Additionally, there are several ruins found across Fasia that further help suggest this hypothesis.

Fasia would become one of the most important worlds in the history of the Vetrarsaer because of this. In the Valhallan Age, the Voidsea is teeming with life, adapted to survive in even the most extreme of conditions - And a large portion of it can trace it's origins back to Fasia.
Immensely diverse in it's flora, fauna, and sentient life, the world has found itself as one of the centres of the Cosmic Union, for research, speculation, tourism, and even some who seek to begin new sub-Kinde. It is a cultural, political, and economic power within the sector, and is at the forefront of new colonization efforts, seeking to turn it's entire Void Archipelago into a gem within the Union. Many of it's orbiting Coves have been settled in this effort.


Indeed, upon it's discovery by the Greater Solar Union - A Faction that saw the seeding of life across the Voidsea as an almost sacred duty - Fasia became a testing ground for the creation of new Kinde, both sapient and sentient, with which to seed the galaxy.

The unique properties of Fasia are still not fully understood, due to them defying all the known conventions of science and Taekni. What is known however, is that due to strains within the local wildlife, a genetic code exists on Fasia that encouraged rapid evolution within all the local Flora and Fauna. This code is transferable via oral consumption, infection from local disease, spores, and even the wind itself, due to the atmospheric conditions also containing these codes. While worlds that encourage rapid evolution are not unheard of, Fasia is unique in the sheer speed and diversity by which these changes occur. Following the Technopocalypse, many refugees arrived on Fasia. This created the 2nd Fasian Evolutionary Wave (2nd F.E.W), and like many worlds across the Voidsea at this time, Fasia underwent a massive social upheaval. Were it not for the emergence of Taekni and the Arcane, fasia may have been able to remain a cohesive society, but the Arcane was simply too disruptive and chaotic to allow for this to happen.
Regardless, the Kinde that found themselves on the planet ate the local wildlife, and within just a few generations, the mutations began to take shape, and the many sub-Kindes that are known today began to take shape. Interestingly, after six generations, the major mutations stopped. Why this is, is currently only speculated upon, but the leading theory suggests that the various Kinde, due to not being native to the planet, had not fully adapted to their new home, and reached the limit of what their bodies could permit. It is speculated that if given several additional millennia, the rapid evolution processes could begin once again. In the meantime, while minor mutations still occur, they are not on the scale large enough to warrant the classification of new sub-Kinde.


In turn, this created the 3rd Fasian Evolutionary Wave (3rd F.E.W), and in the ensuring chaos, Fasia split into a variety of independent territories, some determined by Kinde, others by confederation and alliance, and some who followed none of these tenants, and simply did their own thing. Fasia would find itself alone, and isolated, for the next 10,000 years, in an era that would come to be known as the Mutagen era.

There are some of the Aviskinde, such as the Nekiar, which are themselves the product of Kinde-Crafting, but would go on to become a basis for many descendent Kinde.

Put perhaps more simply, the Aviskinde are the ones who colonized Fasia, rather than evolved there - Regardless of the origins of that Kinde themselves.

Despite the immense impact, infectivity, and near universality of the Mutagen, there are cases of some members of the Aviskinde being immune to it's effects. This is a minor number, as without proper precautions, they are nearly always infected and pass on mutated genes to their descendants. Should one look to the stars at night, it is not unlikely that members of this Evolutionary Wave inhabit worlds that orbit them. Many members of the First Evolutionary Wave left Fasia to help settle worlds alongside those that Sailed the Stars. Formerly, Fasia fell under the Greater Solar Union's territory - However, it was not slated for colonization during this time. It was seen more as a scientific curiosity that deserved research rather than colonization at that particular time. There were plans for theoretical colonization, but those were in the early stages.

Visits to the world were intermittent, and headed mainly by scientists and researchers. Settlements on the world were small and limited, and anyone who visited it was required to leave for at least one month for every six they stayed on Fasia, and undergo mandatory check-ups to ensure they were not suffering any mutations.
