The howls of the wind as it races through the wastes, unheard by everyone else. The vast rings looming in the ochre sky. It's surreal..."

The desolate planet of Dunacia was colonized shortly after the construction of Evenfall over Twilight in order to harvest the materials in its rings, and succeeding geographical surveys led to the discovery of sparse high-value resource deposits across the planet. Ever since, dozens of extraction sites have been constructed across the barren landscapes of Dunacia, operated by robotic laborers and overseen by select workers.

The rusty, slightly crimson coloration of the planet is caused by the presence of iron particles in the thin layer of regolith that blankets the greater part of the planet's surface. As a geologically inactive world, the landscape of Dunacia is nearly entirely flat, sparsely interspersed by rocky hills and inert volcanoes. Moreover, a dense atmosphere of carbon dioxide blankets the planet, resulting in the temperatures staying at roughly negative ninety degrees on average.

Dalo, Dunacia's only moon, encircles the planet at a distance of one hundred and twenty-three thousand kilometers. Though it is an asteroid, it's encircled by a spectacular set of rings. Rich in resources, it contributed to the construction of several stations around Dunacia. Two mining sites are presently in active operation on the moon, though several groups protest against it, hoping to preserve Dalo due to the rarity of ringed asteroids.
