OVERVIEW

Kapteyn's Star stands as a beacon of medical infrastructure in the stellar neighborhood, housing the largest hospitals, clinics, space stations, and planetary ports. Founded and funded by exocredits and dollar multibillionaire Cornelius Amir, the Kapteyn Health Institution (KHI) has spread across the stars as the primary non-governmental body for developing healthcare systems. Although Kapteyn's Star is under United LunaTerran Protectorate, a treaty between Sol and Kapteyn ensures the system remains neutral and independent, with United LunaTerra providing security.

KAPTEYN HEALTH INSTITUTION

KHI was established in first years of kapteyn’s star colonisation, through the years KHI has established planetary hospitals throughout the settled stellar neighborhood. Collaborations with Dyson Terra's industrial megacorporations have led to the development of cutting-edge infrastructure and technologies for the invention, synthesis, manufacturing, and mass production of medications for hospitals, clinics, and local drugstores across the region.

RED STAR

Red Star, a branch of KHI, specializes in minimizing human suffering on interstellar battlefields. Its mission is to protect life and health and ensure respect for human beings. The Cetus Federal Republic actively collaborates with Red Star in rescue operations for unarmed civilians in war zones. Special rescue megaships and vessels marked with a bright red star and specific ship call signs are used to prevent targeting by combatants. Any assault on Red Star ships automatically triggers an interstellar arrest warrant issued by onboard computers.

KAPTEYN B "HWANIN"

Kapteyn b, also known as Hwanin, is a Class 1 Jovian gas giant with two notable moons: Anahit, Asclepius

Anahit:

Anahit is the first moon in the Hwanin system. This yellowish moon, with dark craters and marines marked by dark basaltic erosion from past volcanic activity, resembles the Solar System's Io. Anahit hosts the primary manufacturing infrastructure of KHI. Geothermal activity and a supportive core generate electricity, while its own magnetosphere protects it from Hwanin's magnetic field.

Asclepius:

Asclepius is the second moon in the Hwanin system. With 0.06 atmospheric pressure and a suitable 29°C temperature, its oceans of nitrogen and sulfur dioxide support a large medical center on its surface, which has the highest patient capacity. An emergency medical center orbits the L1 Lagrange Well of Hwanin's gravitational field. KAPTEYN C AND IZANAMI

Izanami, named after the goddess of death, is only moon of Kapteyn C. It serves as a planetary cemetery for war heroes, Nobel Prize winners, and other important figures in human civilization. Bodies are preserved in protective coffins to ensure their longevity as long as the cemetery remains operational. Izanami is considered a no-man's zone by interstellar laws to respect the peace of the deceased.
