Saurians are a species of genetically engineered reptilian sapients, created by the Progenitors to serve as pets, disposable workers and servants. Their genomes are combined with those of various ancient creatures that separates them into different 'breeds' or 'morphs'
History
The first generations of Saurians were created by the Progenitors via genetic engineering, using the DNA of the recently extinct Kobold, along with various extinct reptiles. For a long time, the Saurians only existed to be used by the Progenitors as living art pieces, servants, laborers, and a source of infantry should war ever break out. The DNA of the Saurians was also used in the creation of other genetic hybrids such as the Fae.
During the Great Progenitor-Hominid War, Saurians, along with the Dragonborne, served largely as the Progenitor's main infantry forces due to their perceived expendability and inferiority by their Progenitor overlords. As a result, well over 100,000,000 Saurians died during the war. The war also sparked multiple resistance movements which only grew stronger as the war dragged on. When the war finally ended in a Pyrrhic Victory for the Hominids, and a crippling defeat for the Progenitors, the Saurians; along with their fellow Progenitor creations, launched the Saurian Revolution, ultimately eradicating the surviving Progenitor population.
The Saurians along with the Dragonborne went on to inhabit Beringia up until the beginning of the Holocene, when the rising sea levels eventually flooded most of Beringia, leaving only Kamchatka, Alaska, Weepria, and Moshkho above sea level. This quick climate change caused a crisis, resulting in millions of Saurians & Dragonborne dead. The populations in Kamchatka and Alaska eventually died out, or emigrated to Moshkho or Weepria. The Saurians and Dragonborne spent the next several thousands of years developing in isolation in Moshkho and Weepria, with very sparse contact with humanity, only beginning to rejoin the world recently.

Appearance and Biology
Saurians have no standard Form, instead divided into hundreds of various Breeds, however all Saurians share the same Organ and Reproductive Systems, meaning that internally they are all the same and can interbreed like any other Species. Saurian's typically take the physical traits of one side rather then mixing, this is why individual Breeds still exist even after millennia of self determination.
Powers and Abilities
Saurian aren't much different from any other large reptile on their own, but due to their Breed's Genetics they can have countless abilities, including Flight, Toxins, Temperature Resistance, Water Breathing, and many many more. Otherwise Saurian poses Sapience, and Apposable Thumbs.
