Description
Template:Infobox TechnologyThe Eternal Battery is an unfathomable and enigmatic piece of technology, discovered on an ancient planetary object code-named AOC-001. Researching teams discovered The Eternal Battery during the War of the Ancients, in Confederacy Space.
The Eternal Battery's most important use is its energy holding capacity, which can take in an apparent boundless amount of energy. Before the Quintet Puontari Federation seized it, The Eternal Battery appeared to have no limit in its ability to hold power.
As of modern-day, no objects designed to hold energy have met the apparently bottomless capacity of The Eternal Battery.
Discovery
As a tale goes, a large group of instructed AI was excavating a site that was rich in platinum. This was until they unearthed a ravine. This ravine had a large cave system, which held an active Xeno Artifact. This artifact happened to be a monolith powered by a single device, The Eternal Battery.
When the AI found The Eternal Battery, many alerts of anomalous activity was sent to the primary mining headquarters, and operations shut down. Soon after, Anomalous expert Researchers came in and saw The Eternal Battery's red glow. The monolith that it was connected to was a part of a more significant site, filled with rather useless artifacts lost to time. After more discoveries, it was known that The Eternal Battery's monolith was but one of four, but the other three were broken beyond repair.
Not long after its discovery, science teams blocked the area and investigated the working monolith. After months of extensive research, plans had to be put on hold as a result of the War of the Ancients becoming more prevalent in the region. Science teams took the monolith alongside other artifacts and stored them in the Pluto Vault. The Eternal Battery would trade hands between facilities until a new research team decided to investigate further. They ended up separating The Eternal Battery and its monolith, attempting to decipher its internals.
After many more weeks of full-time research, The Eternal Battery's approximate age, purpose, and capabilities were discovered. It was then known that The Eternal Battery was an enigmatic and ancient battery, with a remarkable capacity to hold a large surplus of energy. What they first noted was its exceptional weight of approximately 50,000 kg. This results from its hyper-dense jungle of machinery and wires in the interior, most definitely being the reason for its energy-storing capabilities.
While more research was done on The Eternal Battery, the Quintet Puontari Federation happened to be encroaching upon the system. Afraid to lose or break it, personnel attempted to hide The Eternal Battery deep in the laboratory. The system containing The Eternal Battery was looted, and it was discovered by the crafty drones made from POLIKY. After the War of the Ancients, the Quintet Puontari Federation ended up conducting an international briefing about The Eternal Battery. They have said that "Researchers are trying their hardest to make this special technology available for everyone." A few pictures have been leaked, showing a more functional Oracle, or somewhat successful clones of it. Since their briefing, the QPF has stood mostly secretive about The Eternal Battery but often brought it up as a solution to many energy problems.
