Our Goal

Writing is just downright fun, in particular if someone has an audience for their work. This website is for sharing our stories, fictional worlds, and characters. The reason for this is simple — people passionate about their ideas are fun to talk to!

A Place to Share Your Work

Whether you are just starting out, a seasoned writer, or enjoy reading indie writing, we would love to have you here.

In our decade-long history, dozens have posted their work either on here or on the Fandom version of the site.

Scope

This wiki's structure relies heavily on a concept of Scope, the idea that what an author creates is theirs and theirs alone. Think of a scope as a setting in which an author (or group) has complete control (even over site formatting, colors, and fonts!) We respect author autonomy, so no uncomfortable differences in vision can violate your ownership. Scopes range in size from one article to hundreds, from encompassing small islands to multiverses, and from technical writing to flowery prose. Everything about your scope is up to you!

This does not mean you can't contribute to existing scopes. In fact, most scopes are open to collaboration! Talk to the owner(s) of a scope before contributing of course (either here, on fandom, or on the discord). If no existing scopes fit your vision, we encourage you to create your own scope!

Very brief guidelines (all common sense)

How to Share Your Work

To start editing, you need to make an account on this website. Formatting articles is based on the markup language called Wikitext, the same language that powers Wikipedia. It can be daunting at first, so please ask if you have any questions! To avoid it altogether, you can use the visual editor. Afterwards, creating a page is as simple as navigating to the three dots at the top right of every page. We're happy to see what you will create!

Anybody is free to add as much or as little as they want. Don't be afraid to create small pages; we're not forcing you into a part-time job! We've had plenty of passing users who wrote just a couple of small articles, and that's something we encourage here. Try it out, maybe read some other peoples' work while you visit. If the wiki's a place for you, we'll be happy to have you.

If you have any questions, please see our Discord, visit our new site and leave a post, or message Duodecillionaire (@quattuordecillionaire on Discord). We'll try to consistently check the Fandom posts and messages to get back to you, but our discord is much more active.
