Description

Planets and major moons are a hydrostatic body of mass, which have a prominent gravity well and presence in its star system. Planets and moons are also a well-known and abundant feature of the known universe, inhabiting countless star systems and keeping hold of a major role in the way of life. The World Class is the official designation of planetary bodies, which will explore the definition and classification of objects, utilizing different classifications.

Terrestrial Objects

Terrestrial objects are those which have a composition of mostly rock, silica, and metals. Terrestrial objects can also contain a stable amount of water, much like many famed objects with life. Terrestrial objects are also the bodies with the most chance of life, as seen on Earth for example, Terrestrial objects also cover places in a multitude of temperatures, ranging from many cold oceanic aquaria to torrid lava objects.

Terrae (E-Class)

Terrae are a kind of terrestrial object, which hold a basic surface composition of water and rocky material/silica. Terrae are also very responsible for the creation of prominent civilizations, which have made them a popular choice for objects throughout the Local Group, The abundance of materials and water on the surface of terrae have also let civilization prosper quickly - such as when Humans quickly accelerated their technological force with the abundance of resources on Earth. While terrae are usually known for their ability to harbor life, many of them do not hold an abundance of resources.

Aquarias (A-Class)

Aquarias are a form of terrestrial object with its entire surface covered in a permanent sheet of water, frozen or now. Usually many kilometers thick, Aquarias are known for their overabundance in water. Warmer aquarias are also very humid, and have a higher water composition in its atmosphere. Aquarias can also be frigid, with ice instead of liquid water on its surface. Frozen aquarias may also contain underground reservoirs of liquid water, which have been heated by the geothermal energy and pressure. Life on Aquarias usually appear if the aquaria has less water than average. However, this does not prevent life to appear in deep aquarias, especially on frozen ones.

Deserts (D-Class)

Deserts are a kind of terrestrial object which has no water on its surface - but may contain water in its atmosphere, or under its surface in the form of a loose water table. These kinds of deserts are very diverse in their appearance, since these could either be flush full of grassy plains, or with no plant life on its surface at all. The lack of water makes life have less of a chance to show up on its surface. However, life can be flush on desert objects, and can be present in the form of water-efficient scavenging species. Deserts may also possess temporary oases, which let any kind of plant life (if any) thrive with organisms. Some deserts, over the period of many millennia, can transform into terrae with enough oases.

Selenas (S-Class)

Selenas are a kind of terrestrial object which contains no atmosphere, and has similar features to that of a D-Class object. However, selenas exhibit a very thin or have a lack of an atmosphere, making them very barren and prominently lifeless. Selenas can also contain forms of water-ice on their poles, if the temperature is correct for it to exist. This is shown on Luna, since its poles held a plethora of water-ice. Microbial and multicellular life on selenas are also possible.

Ferrias (F-Class)

Ferrias are a classification of terrestrial object which contains a high amount of metals on its surface. Ferrias are notably valuable for the construction of megastructures and are usually reserved as forges for numerous craft and devices. Skipping over its resource value, ferrias are much like selenas, as they usually hold a thin or nonexistent atmosphere. Ferrias with an atmosphere are known to rust and degrade over a long period of time, which give rise to the nicknamed 'rust worlds' moniker. Life on ferrias are usually silicon-based, considering that there is a heavy presence of silicon on the surface of ferrias. However, any known kind of life can prosper on ferrias considering the condition.

Carbonias (C-Class)

Carbonias are a classification of terrestrial object which contains a heavy amount of carbon in its composition. These worlds, like ferrias and selenas, have little to no existing atmosphere. Carbonias can exist at a very diverse range of temperatures, and can contain a numerous amount of miscellaneous content in its surface. Objects of the carbonia class are often the best places to harvest carbon for the construction of large-scale structures. There are also used for the refinement of many materials. The barren nature of carbonias also allow them to become very effective ecumenopoli.

Titans (T-Class)

Titans are a classification of terrestrial objects which are rich in water and ice. They can also contain other volatile compounds, such as ammonia, methane, and carbon dioxide. Exotic forms of life seem to be on nearly every titan, as they are an excellent place for the development of life. Titans are also useful for their energy resources, as they contain a high amount of hydrogen. The high amount of water on their surface also make them very effective for the construction numerous habitats all over their surfaces.

Igneous (H-Class)

Igneous', also known as Lava Worlds, or Hell Worlds are terrestrial objects with its entire surface covered in molten lava and magma, and they will usually have a thick atmosphere. Most terrestrial objects begin their existence as Igneous' worlds, as they begin to cool off from their formation, however if a terrestrial object remains either in close proximity to its parent body, or has a great amount of gravitationally influence inflicted upon it from another celestial object, then its surface may be heated to an extreme, leaving its respective surface covered in an endless expanse of molten lava and magma. Oblivio is a prime example of a natural H-Class world. Due to their nature, most worlds classified as H-Class are extremely hot, to the point of being classified as scorched.

Gas Giants

Gas giants are a classification of sub-solar object, which contains an extremely large amount of mass in its composition. They can contain a very diverse range of elements, and can be found in any type of temperature spectrum. These objects can also contain a plethora of life, and can be easily inhabited with various structures built in their atmosphere. A significant amount of these objects are used as a source of fuel for ships and other devices.

Jovians(J-Class)

Jovian gas giants have primarily hydrogen and helium atmospheres. Coloration comes from clouds in the upper atmosphere of ammonia, water vapor, hydrogen sulphide, phosphine and sulphur. The temperature at the top of their upper cloud layers is typically less than -123°C. The most famous J-Class worlds among Humans are Jupiter, Saturn and J1407B. Rarely, some Jovian gas giants host bacterial or unicellular life in their upper cloud layers.

Neptunias(N-Class)

Neptunias, also known as Ice Giants are giant worlds composed mainly of elements heavier than hydrogen and helium, such as oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur. There are two ice giants in the Sol System: Uranus and Neptune. Due to them also being called Ice Giants, some misconception happens, as some individuals get confused if there are Ice Giants close to a star, as ice cant regularly exist close to stars, as it would melt.
