Vystall

Vystall is a Void Island located within the Voidsea. It is home to the robotic, mechanical Vystallan Kinde, and is a member of the Cosmic Union.

The existence of the Broadwave and Taekni is said to have had a strange effect on Vystall - While Taekni is capable of warping reality, the one area in which it cannot directly impact people is their minds - This extends to mechanical life. Various machinery utilized Artificial Intelligence on Vystall before the Broadwave arrived, and this was left unharmed, though a vast majority of the technology this AI used was. This is in spite of various recovered historical records stating that the only AI used on Vystall was algorithmic, simple AI. This suggests that this particular AI strand had become sentient, and no one had realized it - Or that it hid itself from it's overseers.

It would take this Artificial Intelligence a long time to create bodies for themselves, utilizing what little technology had survived as a method of constructing things within the material world. Once they emerged, the Artificial Intelligence began to refer to themselves as the Vystallan's, and their world, they named after themselves - Vystall.

It is a world of major contrasts - Despite being a metallic, mechanical world, it is also covered in immense swatches of nature and wildlife, taken from many surrounding worlds, which was instrumental in the development of the worlds bio-technology.

Since the creation of the Vystallans, Vystall has had a major role in local Voidsea politics - Though it had the potential to be a far greater force, it was prevented from doing so by a massive civil war that split the world in two - Between two primary antagonistic forces - The Suratronic's, and the Mechatar.

The events of this civil war ended up spreading to other systems, in particular getting them involved with the Titanic States of Saturn, and leading to the creation of the Stjarna Union, which in turn lead to the creation of the Cosmic Union. This war is still technically ongoing, although Vystall itself has been won, and acts as a member of the Union.
