Chrsa

Chrsa (pronounced “Sher-ser”) was the ditheist and dualistic religion that strongly influenced the evolution of the Samians. It was founded around 10,000 BCE by a wandering traveler who believed a bright streak of light in the night sky was a calling from the gods. At its peak, it was followed by 2 billion Samians.

History

Evicted from her village after a family fight, the traveler searched for a new home elsewhere. During her journey, she was the first one in recorded history to discover the frozen night side. While no life inhabited the surface, the traveler decided to make her home within the ice, living on nothing but water and fungus within hidden lakes. On one night, while observing the night sky, she watched a bright light appear, moving quickly across the sky before exploding into nothing. It was during this moment that she believed gods were calling to her.

She acquired the name Vaiza when she fled to the day side to tell everyone about her story. No one believed her. Many were sceptical, thinking the light was merely a coincidence, and some thought she made up the story to become relevant again. Even though a large number of them didn't believe her, she still gained a small following from some villages. They convened and Vaiza told them about what she was believing. Eventually, the original texts were created, and Vaiza became the single most important person of her time.

Over the millennia, it made its way across the planet, bringing on new followers through the generations. It ultimately began a slow decline towards the end of the Samian Hivemind, as atheism and agnosticism became more popular.

Overview

It was a ditheist and dualistic religion, meaning that it believed in two opposing forces, good and bad, each led by their own god. Ursia, the goddess of darkness, war and evil, was created as a result of a bloody war. Toog, the god of peace and love, was born from the planet Sama itself.
