Fourth World War (Earlorania)

World War IV, the Fourth World War, or sometimes referred to as the Second Shiuxoli War (27 Fedray 2100 NGE – 16 Normala 2107 NGE) was a major global conflict on Earlorania during the 21st Century NGE, encompassing almost every nation on the planet and spanning even into the extraplanetary colonies. The war was fought by two factions: the Allied Initiative and the Confederal Imperial of Legion. The war is estimated to have resulted in the death of nearly 600 million people, 5% of the total world population at the time. Tanks, aircraft, ships, spacecraft, and combat frames played key roles on the battlefield, changing combat doctrines across the world.

Overview

The Fourth World War, sometimes referred to as the Second Shiuxoli War, was a large conflict fought by Earloranian powers from 2100-2107 NGE. The war was fought primarily by the martial, political, and economic alliance, The Confederal Imperial Legion, and a loose coalition of nations called the Allied Initiative. Most historians have come to the consensus that the war began with the Half-Year War, where Legion would invade the National Republic of Leidenshaier on Fedray 27th, 2100 NGE. The invasion and subsequent annexation of the country would spur multiple surrounding nations to take up arms against the CIL in order to prevent them from securing the rich neutrinium deposits in the area.

On 5 Saflen 2100 NGE, the Argoni-allied nations of Arem and Xefu would declare war on Legion-Taigun, launching a surprise assault with large numbers of aircraft and walkers. Legion was forced to split their forces between the Ekrupei and Argoni fronts, and the newly opened Chasutōie front.

On 2 Normala 2100 NGE, Legion launched a preemptive strike on the Democratic Kingdom of Hishimal and the Royal Republic of Yerlon to knock them out of the war before they were able to properly mobilize. The invasion began with dozens of ICBM's being fired from bases in Legion-Xiunto, equipped with EMP blast munitions. The campaign knocked out critical infrastructure and equipment, resulting in a swift Legion victory against the Hishimalt and Yerlonese forces who struggled to resist with outdated weaponry. At the same time, the CIL launched a major naval operation aimed at punching through the Federated Argoni State's navy in the 30km long, Instillite Channel. The Argoni had deployed nearly a quarter of all their naval forces into the channel to prevent Legion from landing on the continent. However, the CIL was able to breakthrough the armada and conduct naval landings on the south-eastern portion of the Argonia Continent, in the Adusha state. In Junos 2101 NGE, the CIL attempted another landing in the north to spread the Argoni's forces, however, the Argoni were able to repel the attack and prevent a follow up.

On 15 Fedray 2101 NGE, small skirmishes on the border between Legion-Urdukah and the Koris Kingdom would erupt into total war after Urdukahn armored divisions crossed into the Korin side. Fighting would rapidly spill deeper into Korin territory due to the Urdukahn's superior armored and motorized forces and the flat terrain of the desert.

By Maydeth 2101 NGE, the United Elemental Republic had come to the aid of their Argoni allies, deploying forces on the Dailonte Line. The combined Argoni-Elementian defenses were able to halt the Legion advance until 12 Akurnis 2103 NGE, where the joint Elementian and Argoni forces would push Legion off of the continent.

Madenburg-Ulurus Treaty of 2011 NGE

Following the end of the Third World War in 2010 NGE, the Sovereign Alliance powers held a conference in the City of Ckilerium to discuss the path that the post-war world would embark on. dubbed, The Madenburg-Ulurus Treaty. One of the major bullets of this Treaty was how the Shiuxoli Empire would be divided. The Empire would be split up into numerous different nations that followed the borders of the Empire's provinces. This was done to prevent a repeat of the post-3rd world war world, where the division of the defeated powers was done without recognition of political and ethnic borders, leading to numerous small wars. The 23 provinces of Shăng Xianta we're formed into the Xiunto Federation. The 12 provinces of Shăng Maircka were formed into the Myrak Confederacy. The 3 provinces of Shăng Yowena were formed into the Yoldenöw States. The 7 provinces of Shăng Lumera were formed into the Loterras Democratic Union, and the 18 provinces of Shăng Vihsna were formed into the Irashuda Republic.

Mid 20th Century Market Dominance and Recession

While the division of these nations managed to avoid any conflict between them, the countries maintained a strong relationship akin to when they were under Shiuxoli rule. This brought a large amount of prosperity to the post-Shiuxoli nations, who became dominant in the technological and manufacturing global markets, most notably, their advanced technological products and their experience in E-crystal shaping. However, in 2061 NGE, the United Elemental Republic unveiled a new invention —synthetic E-crystals. This new invention made it significantly easier and cheaper to produce kaktonic-integrated technology, as a factory would only need to shape the growth of the synthetic crystal and let it absorb Elemental energy. Over the course of a few years, the market dominance and age of prosperity these countries experienced collapsed, leading to a major recession among the nations as their industries were quickly overtaken by various other countries.

Establishment of Legion

By the 2080s NGE, the economies of the post-Shiuxoli nations began to climb back steadily, but their societies were heavily scarred from recession, and with numerous foreign companies coming into the nations to take advantage of the de-industrialized economies, the 5 nations signed the Shiahma Four Point Agreements on Decthar 9th, 2084 NGE, an agreement that would take the 5 countries and form an economic, martial, political, and social union under a confederation.

Together, these 5 nations would form a barrier against foreign influence, establishing their own power bloc. Originally, the bloc was maintained to the central part of the Ekrupei continent, but over the course of nearly 2 decades it would expand to the Chasutōie and Aureli Continents.

Half-Year War

At midnight of 27 Fedray 2100 NGE, Legion infantry and combat frames would cross the Leidenshaien border from Legion-Xiunto and Legion-Yoldenow, exchanging fire with Leidenshaien Border Army troops. By 6 am of that day, the Leidenshaien Border Army was ordered to retreat 20 kilometers from the frontline

over the next 2 months, Legion would make steady advances deeper into Leidensahier before being halted at the Halßök Mountain Range by Leidenshaier and a coalition of nations called the Allied Initiative.
