What is this, some kind of Strata Verse?

Singular Jötunn, also called Kaiju, Titans, Nephilim, Giants etc. The Jötnar are a group of colossal organisms found across the planet. before 2,500 years ago there were hundreds of different species. but now only relatively few remain and in incredibly small numbers.

Humans often used to revere these creatures as gods, they function essentially like Earth's nervous system.

History

The first Jötnar evolved recently, only at the end of the Miocene about 5 million years ago

Most Jötnar were killed after the events of Ragnarok in 2,500 BCE

    • Genus: Canis; Revered as the god of death, mummification, embalming, the afterlife, cemeteries, tombs, and the Underworld, in ancient Egyptian religion. Anubis is a completely black canine Jotunn with close affinities to the Golden Jackal. Anubis is a scavenger of other Jotunn species, fossil evidence suggests the species was one of the most common and populous Jotunn species in prehistory before most mega organisms died off. it is theorized that Anubis and Fenrir are sister taxon.

Titanus Anukis’s Megaorganism Ecosystem is rich and diverse, comprised primarily of Mesozoic-era Reptiles and Eocene Mammals (aside from invertebrates), few Erratic-esque creatures live on her. Anuket is flightless but capable of running at speeds of over 230mph.
