The Xcathli Stellar Federation, shortened to the XSF, is a relatively large member-nation of the Confederacy of Borealis. With an over-arching 277 intergalactic claims, alongside its countless colonies inside of them, the XSF has come out to be one of is not the most prominent member-nation in the Confederacy of Borealis. Being one of the largest nations, the XSF has an almost unmatched armada, alike the Trans-Galactic Empire of Rexlor. They also contribute majorly to the stability to the Confederacy, and usually aid in foreign and homeland aid.
The Xcathli Federation is also a chief technological advisor for the Confederacy, usually making trade deals with the Lo'Xal Federation for pieces of their more enigmatic technology. This has subsequently made the XSF the most technologically advanced region in the Confederacy, but not by much.
The vast swaths of areas and claims around the XSF can go back many millennia, back to the invention of Xcathlian FTL travel. Being a pioneering and slightly militant force at the time, they took what they could and eventually became a large conglomerate of many states. Thes states remain in XSF custody to this day, prospering fruitfully.
The XSF capital and most populated planet is Xcathlia, a highly-developed and advanced planet, which also functions as a travel hub. As the birthplace for the Xcathlian people, Xcatihlia is regarded as one of the most well-protected and valuable worlds in the Confederacy, with countless amounts of defense surrounding it.
History
When the Xcathlian people embarked on their home system, they decided to unify and form a Stellar Federation. With peace being a primary thought of theirs for centuries, they thought that it was the only reasonable option. As a result, they united to prosper around the cosmos.
After only a few years of this happening, in the 700s BCE, the newly-founded XSF had already explored many nearby systems. However, no life was found until the 200s BCE, when they encountered bacterial lifeforms in a neighboring system. This caused a revelation in the fields of biology and affected their culture greatly. Several religions fell while other continued to existence. There were even some that were sceptical of the discovery.
As the centuries passed, the Xcathlians held major control over their local region. They were garnering power throughout the stars and were soon discovering countless new things. Exoplanets were being discovered rapidly, and colonization attempts were also underway. Around this era, the XSF was also discovering other sapient species, though they were considerably less advanced. The XSF had also stook their claims in many valuable areas, giving them access to an unheard amount of sheer wealth.
Even more, time passed. As the XSF discovered more and more, they stumbled upon a few space-faring civilizations. This ended up being one of their finest discoveries, one of uplifting and generosity. However, a few belligerent alien empires had denied the XSF's gifts, and many battles ended up being fought. At the end of it all, the XSF had controlled a large portion of galactic space and had many alien states in their empire. It seemed as if they would not stop growing.
Over more millennia, the XSF had soon become intergalactic, utilizing unique forms of stasis to preserve colonists. However, they had not discovered Wormhole technology until finding the Confederacy of Borealis, making future travel times cumbersome. However, with their forms of FTL, it was still faster than any standard Warp Drive at the time.
By the 9000s, the XSF had soon discovered the CoB after a wave of sleeper ships had arrived near the Milky Way. With this, they consequently discovered, Wormhole technology, giving them access to a multitude of gateways. Once they were set up many years after, the War of the Decamillennial Transition would soon happen, giving the XSF access to the Milky Way and closeby colonies with protected wormholes.
Being the most well-known part of its history, the War of the Decamillennial Transition took a major toll against the XSF. Countless parts of the military were effectively in Total War, soon being destroyed by the surmounting enemy forces. This has not prevented them from fighting for their mighty existence and making themselves recognisable in the face of conflict. Nothing major would happen in XSF history for millennia after.
During the 100,000s, The XSF had remained in a peaceful existence, soon claiming 377 galaxies. No tensions were present at this time, other than the War for All and with some aid in the Outer Wars. The War for All was a major conflict for the XSF, as they created many fleets for the CoB to aid the war effort. However, no direct attacks against the XSF happened for the most part, except for countless raids employed by the POLIKY forces.
As of 200k, The XSF still remains a strong and trusted civilisation, standing for peace and cooperation among species. Many younger races of Whirlpool and several other galaxies have been uplifted by the mighty Xcathlians.
Relationships with other nations
Relations between the two have been spotty at best. The Rexlorians and Xcathli haven't been the best of friends on the galactic block nor have they had the most peaceful history with each other, however they have maintained a stable relation over the last 100,000 years.
Humanity and the Xcathli are on good terms and occasionally trade with each other, even having embassies on both of their respective homeworlds. Aside than that, they don't interact much.

Xcathli Repbulic General Election of 99989
The Xcathli Republic general election of 99989 was the 8422nd decennial Xcathli Republic election, held on December 18, 99989.
The Xcathli Populist-Centrist Party, led by incumbent Grand Minister Elmar Typress, won the election with 5158 seats in the High Council. The right-wing Conservative Coalition Party formed the Official Opposition, with 2063 seats. Ral Timara's Neo-Socialists won 816 seats to round out the top three.
Following the Kha'zik Scandal, which led to the eventual resignation of Confederate Officer Sol-Ii III, support for Elmar Typress fell in distant colonies. In the two years before the election, the other parties in the High Council fought to remove Typress's government from power. The Conservative Coalition saw the Populist-Centrists as damaging the economic hierarchy, and the Neo-Socialists saw them as greedy and corrupt. Despite this adversity, the XPC launched a massive ad campaign on the basis of economic stability, using Project Utopia and the concept of absolute peace as motivation for voters. Following this successful campaign, Elmar Typress became Grand Minister for a coveted twenty-sixth consecutive term.

Xcathli Republic General Election of 99999
The Xcathli Republic general election of 99999 was the 8423rd decennial Xcathli Republic election, held on December 18, 99999.
The Xcathli Populist-Centrist Party, led by incumbent Grand Minister Elmar Typress, won the election with the largest majority in the Republic's history, winning 7718 seats in the High Council. The Neo-Socialist Party, led by Ral Timara, won 1090 seats, forming the Official Opposition. With 911 of the remaining seats going to Cara Mynit's Liberal Democrats, only 280 of the seats were made up by minor parties, the smallest percentage of the High Council since the beginning of the New Government movement in 15679.
The Populist-Centrist Party's gain of 2560 seats was the largest by an incumbent government in Xcathli history, and Elmar Typress became the first Grand Minister in 2500 years to win his twenty-seventh straight election. The once-popular Conservative Coalition Party, having been the Official Opposition in the previous election, lost all of their 2063 seats, marking the largest loss of seats by percentage in Xcathli history. Following the election, they merged the Third Nationalist Party to become the Conservative-Nationalist Alliance.
