History

When she was 15 her powers activated while she was playing a game of basketball, her team was losing by a single point and the clock was ticking down. So out of desperation she threw the ball, to hopefully make a basket, though instead her arm grew in length until it reached the opposing hoop and she was able to make a slam dunk from 15 feet away.

Immediately everyone in the stadium began to freak out, the dunk was counted as a foul and Arielle's team lost the game. The loss combined with her powers caused her friends, team-mates and even her family to not want to be anywhere near her. Her parents, staunch anti-deviants kicked her out and Arielle would have had to live on the streets if she hadn't been found by Manaia Kahurangi and taken to the Aetis Academy.
