Frostbank is a city located on the Minnesota shores of Lake Superior and is notable for its shipyards and iron mines. The city is also known for being cold, foggy, and rainy, rarely seeing a day with clear skies. The smell of lake water and fish permeates the city.

It is a hotspot for criminals and smugglers, who often try to smuggle things across the U.S. border into Canada, but the rent is cheap so many workmen and poorer folks put up with the bad people and weather.

History

The land that the great city of Frostbank stands on has been inhabited since ancient times, having been known in antiquity as a place of immense spiritual importance. In the late 1700s, European fur traders arrived in the region and began to settle, with the English eventually gaining control, and naming their settlement "Frostbank" after the ice that occupies the coast for half the year. At the start of the 20th Century, a man by the name of Tipene Kahurangi, would renovate his manor in the outskirts of the city, transforming it into a School & Home for Deviants like him. Not long after, the city would experience a massive serge in both population and development, becoming a center of Industry and Shipping. In 1969, the revolutionary; Space and Aeronautics Center was founded, becoming an important landmark and cultural center for the city, though this would not last forever. In 2015 an alien species, known as the K'keeri would begin their takeover of earth, and would use the Space and Aeronautics Center to do so, using it to signal their mothership, though soon the building and surrounding city would become a battleground between the Aliens and a newly formed group of hero's, who would become the Guardians of Earth. Following the aliens Defeat, the building and many parts of the city were destroyed, though this paved way for a grand future, with the mayor Chartering the old ground of the Aeronautics Center to used for a State of the art Headquarters for their new hero's.
