SVILL is a hivemind of approximately 100 trillion beings centered around the Dazhbog system in the Zalanthium arm. They are run by an Artificial Intelligence that has access to every observed SVILL. While individuals—also referred to as SVILL—appear biological, having organs, flesh, and other biological material. What they lack is a brain or any form of central system, instead having a "chip". SVILL has originated from the Dnolif species, which is largely the same as modern SVILL. It is believed when the species replaced their minds with the SVILL program, it halted the process of evolution in them and left them the same for millions of years.
