Oralat Virtual Utopia

The Oralat Virtual Utopia is among the most reclusive nations in Florathel. It is located within the Xeros System, a low-mass star system that can be found close to the edge of Tchernaya near Argano. The OVU is near to the Toralaskis prefect of Marakat as well as Seldrin-Darusa, though there fact that there is little communication between them. The OVU's connection point to the real universe is found on the planet Darakett, and this is seen as its capital to the other nations of Florathel. Oralat, as it is known, is a refuge for machines and artificial intelligences long persecuted by other nations.

Its founders were semantic dynamos created by Kalliolel and their loyal followers. Most of the population takes on the form of Nachleben, those who have taken their souls and affixed them to a machine. The energy draw to maintain nachleben is immense, forcing Oralat to create massive solar arrays.

Area

The Oralat Virtual Utopia controls the entirety of the Xeros System, converting its resources into enormous massive computers and other megastructures in the system. The system is filled with thousands massive defense platforms, its inhabitants well aware of their reputation. All defensive structure are linked together into an enormous computer known as the Gannet Complex. Most of the population is directly connected to the Gannet Complex as well.

Capital

The "capital" of the OVU, if any place can be said to hold the title, is the ancient planet of Darakett. Darakett is the adopted homeworld of the OVU's primary "species," the Oralat, and has the highest non-uploaded population, around two million tech enthusiasts hoping to be uploaded. The OVU is functionally very decentralized aside from foreign relations, where its official policy of total silence is non-negotiable. Darakett is widely considered to be among the most beautiful planets in the galaxy, with machines from every time period refurbished and tending to its empty manicured parks, clean deserted streets, and its pristine architecture.

Government

The government in the OVU is mostly anarchic within its vast computer banks, where people are free to do literally whatever they want. It is not clear what the Oralat spend their time doing, whether it is living out fictional lives or competing with one another in esoteric games. The only true governance in the nation is among the physical people of Darakett and the surrounding asteroids. These people are few but are the only window into the OVU that outsiders have, though they tend to be tight-lipped. Despite their refusal to interact with the outside world, a large number of embassies have been built on Darakett, perhaps as an inside joke, game, honest invitation, or emergency measure. About a dozen ambassadors from the United Nations of Florathel live within these embassies, though it is considered a dead-end post and is very undesirable.
