Eulciar Union of Nations is a supra-national government that controls roughly half of Eulciar. It was founded in 87 892 CE, and remains to this day a powerful and prosperous defensive, economic and industrial union.

The EUN's precursor was founded in 84 302 after the Technocracy of Galan, the Ctrala Federation and the Kajakali Nation formed the Union of Eulciar Powers, which as more nations joined, was reformed into the Eulciar Union of Nations. Since then, nothing major has happened except for their participation in the Succession of Tarmalyula, which they indirectly assisted some of their Tarmayulan allies.

The EUN has a decentralised government, governing from a variety of worlds. However, officially, the EUN is based of the world of Capitolis. The EUN has one thousand seats in its House of the Citizens, and five hundred in its Senate.

Eulciar Union of Nations covers over half of the entire Eulciar through its many members, making recourses overpowering. It has tens of thousands of worlds, over 3 billion stars, and enough interstellar gas to construct ten billion more.

The members of EUN have highly positive relations with each other and extragalactic nations, though it has not discovered nations outside of Amoeni Space. The nations outside of Amoeni Space do not know of the EUN's existence. Inside of Amoeni Space, however, it is more complicated. The EUN has alliances with the Maleeni Kingdom inside of the Eulciar. It is sanctioned against Imperium of Maralawon, the Yamantreer Autocracy and the Hegemony of Imanola States.

HISTORY

Founding

The EUN was founded in the year 87 892, on the first of January. Before then, the EUN had been known as the Union of Eulciar Powers, which was founded on the 5th of June, 84 302, so you could consider that date as the birth of the 'idea' for the EUN.

In its early days, the Eulciar Union of Nations was a chaotic, unproven assembly of nations trying to shout their way into a debate. Over time, however, as they gradually became more use to the fact that they had to propose any new law to a senate, the union's law-making became more streamlined and formal, the union began to exercise it's new found power. The most notable of these was the creation of the world Battarog, a artificial world that impressed upon the rest of the galaxy the power and recourses of the Union. This action even made the Haemneo Plutocracy join the Union.

As the Union grew more powerful, as its decision-making process grew more streamlined and efficient, things like this became routine to them. Ringworlds, Dyson Spheres, Matrioshka Brains, all of them have been made many times in the EUN.

Development

The EUN faced its first major challenge with the AI Revolution of Eulciar, a civil war that was coordinated to strike in every organic nation at the same time. The EUN broke down for a few years, and the intense fighting that followed nearly tore the Union apart. However, once the AI had been negotiated with, and the hostilities cooled down, the EUN came back together, stronger than before with the addition of the Matrix of Sentient AI, later merged with the Technocracy of Galan.

Modern-Day

Today, the EUN is as it has been for tens of thousands of years - coordinating huge contruction projects, cooling down hostilities and being a role model to the rest of Amoeni Space what can be done if we just work together.

Legal System

The EUN has a complex legal system that requires a proto-law to be sent to many levels of administration before it is finally approved of by the Head of Lawmaking, a neutral AI.

Legal Structure

First off, laws are proposed to the Senate through one of the Sub-Senates, which, when approved, is presented to the wider Senate as a whole. In the event of a majority vote, the Law is the elevated to the Lawmaking Department, where is is evaluated and judged by many AI. Finally, if the law passes all of these stations, it is sent to the Head of Lawmaking, a uber-neutral AI. This system is in place to prevent any nation from proposing a law that might benefit themselves and not others, which goes against the core ethos of the entire EUN.

Ever since its conception, the EUN has passed billions of laws. However, some are more notable than others.

Destruction of Worlds	On the Death and Destruction of All Things Good	20th of April, 80 199 CE	All abiding members of the EUN are no longer able to use weapons of mass destruction on inhabited worlds, such as Nicol-Dyson Beams and World Crackers.
War Crimes	On the Death and Destruction of All Things Good	21st of April, 80 199 CE	Establishes a set of 'rules' for war that all abiding members must adhere to, lest trade and diplomacy be cut off with the rest of the abiding members.

Structure

The Senate of the EUN

The EUN has a Senate, with (as of 100 000 CE) 8 houses that a person can align themselves with. There are 13 800 seats in the Senate, each dot above representing a hundred seats.

The Democrats

The Democrats are those who align themselves to a purely democratic government. They are currently the majority with 2 300 of the 13 800 seats available. The are represented by the Light Pink in the diagram above.

The Technocrats

The Technocrats are campaigning for a government devoted to technological progress, as well as the isolation of Eulciar from its warring neighbour galaxies. They are represented by the Lime Green in the diagram above.

The Libertarians

The Libertarians hold the individual as the most important thing that should be valued by a government. They are pushing for a world where each and everyone, whether male, female, Kajakali or Manaerin, gay or straight, is equal. They are represented by the Grey-Blue above.

The Republicans

The Republicans are those who wish to condense the Senate into a smaller amount of seats, so as to make the law passing process quicker and easier. They are represented by the Green-Brown.

The Industrialists

The Industrialists are those who wish for the economy to be more orientated to the military and the industry. They wish for the construction of more megastructures and the increase in recourse production and extraction. They are represented by the Sky Blue above.

The Utopianists

The Utopianists are the inverse of the Industrialists. They want the economy to be orientated to produce civilian goods, making the society and type of capitalist-communist hybrid. They are represented by the Magenta above.

The Communists

The Communists are pushing for the capitalist society of the EUN to be turned on its head and turned into a communist society. They are represented by the Grey.

The Anarchists

The Anarchists are those who campaign for the complete abolition of all laws and governments, which will effectively turn Eulciar into a Tarmalyula. They are the weakest party and are represented by the Light Purple.

Diplomatic Stance

The EUN is a expansionist and cooperative organisation, seeking to peacefully expand its influence in any way possible. Because of this, relations with other nations that are bordering it is strained, but nations farther away can peacefully interact with the EUN without the risk of a assimilation request.

Relations

The EUN has peaceful relations with the majority of contacted nations, having only a few enemies. Most of its enemies are very close, and its allies are farther away, because, as they say, keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

All members of the EUN are immediately granted protection from outside forces by the rest of the EUN, so wars between the EUN and others are very rare.
