The Silky Way, with the Rein Sector highlighted in pink

The Rein Sector (/'riɪ̈n/) is the common designation for a region of roughly 1/26th of the galactic ring of the Silky Way. It is adjacent to the Regorum, Tarn, Desic, and Brenari sectors.

Very little is known of the Rein Sector. The FSS Kareland completely jumped over it on its journey home via the Flashpoint Network, so all information consists of what can be gleaned with ultra-long-range observations. It is likely that much of the Rein Sector has been consumed by the Void, given that it was expanding into the Brenari Sector from that direction. The Rein Sector is also the possible location of the conjectured Void Wormhole used to reach this region of the galaxy, although most agree that this is more likely to be found in the similarly unknown Desic Sector.

Major Governments

Points of Interest

  • Ansuz 7 stellar nursery (possibly consumed by the Void)
  • Ansuz 7-18 – largest currently known star in the galaxy (possibly consumed by the void)
  • What do you want from me? No one's ever been there.
