Because of its very low axial tilt, Jändjatali has almost no seasonality. Its moons create prominent occultations of the sun once per orbit. Ypsilos [ˈy.psi.los], sometimes spelled Üpsilos, is a white star on the edge of Aggregate Aylathiya.
- technically subject to AA governmental bullshit but not really enforced
- slight role as "bridge to Zalanthium" but not anything substantial
- NO HOMEWORLDS!!! the only life is Järiste's stupid subglacioids and they're probably not even sapient. they're not even relevant!!!
Planets
Liivakünka

Liivakünka is the innermost planet of Ypsilos, generally considered to be the harshest of its worlds. A tidally locked desert with a thin carbon dioxide atmosphere, the substellar point reaches an astonishing 340°C, while the night side is well below the freezing point of water. This, combined with its somewhat eccentric orbit caused by Hiiumaa's influence, makes any settlements limited to narrow bands by the kinds of climate control they have access to. The largest city on Liivakünka, Kullamägi, ranges from a temperature of 12°C to -45°C throughout the planet's 77 day year.
- original arrakis plan out the door man. this shit so much more intense depending on where you are
- winds go crazy but low atmosphere makes it not nearly as bad
- people can actually live on the night side quite comfortably! probably not too terribly populous but swagever we can figure out something for them to do. evil agriculture perhaps
Tärivere

Tärivere is the least massive of Ypsilos' planets, barely above the threshold of dwarf planet status. It is nearing tidal lock, with a long rotation period of over six standard days. Tärivere is the most metal-rich body in the system, which combined with its lack of atmosphere and low gravity makes it a very profitable mining world. The temperature variation is worse then Liivakünka, though, with night side temperatures reaching cold enough to freeze nitrogen at below -200°C and day side temperatures scorching residents at over 320°C. The unfiltered ultraviolet rage of Ypsilos' spectrum does not help habitation efforts either.
Hiiumaa

Hiiumaa is the largest planet in the system, a hazy mauve gas giant with an orbit that keeps it well within the temperate zone of Ypsilos. Its clouds are primarily water and ionized vapors.
As Hiiumaa has dense rings and no major moons, the radiation belts typical of gas giants are notably absent.
- roughly saturn-mass giant
- no major moons somehow, do not worry
- avg temp goes from 4 to 50 C, eccentric orbit
- gases mined and farmed for shit, rings somewhat mined for rock as well, minor moons broken down and engineered for Taevaskoda
Taevaskoda
Taevaskoda is the main industrial project of Ypsilos' people. A great constellation of massive space stations and small, all orbiting in Hiiumaa's shielding magnetosphere.
- roughly 20 stations that combined make up a large population of like 50 million. babylon 100
- cloud of "rural" stations and spaceship docks of all flavors. im talking tycho, mini o'neill, the fuckin island 1 balls, ISS type shits, everything.
- Aggregate total population near 100 million
Jändjatali

Jändjatali is Ypsilos' fourth planet, the most massive of its terrestrial bodies. Despite its somewhat high gravity, the world retains the highest population and largest industry exports of the system. Mass driver infrastructure is widespread, reducing costs of rockets that would otherwise be untenable for regular cargo launches. Eidonic Inertial Warding technology is commonly used by passengers to make lifting off the planet easier, despite its energy costs. The extra difficulty arises from Jändjatali's atmosphere, which is at about six times standard atmospheric pressure at the lower elevation regions. The taller peaks of the planet are where logistical centers prefer to launch from, despite the much colder temperatures.
Jändjatali is classed as "semi-habitable" in most rankings of the galaxy's worlds, from a carbon-water species' standpoint anyway. At an average temperature of -60°C, the noontime sun is not able to melt the water ices collected throughout its regions, and its vast plains of rock and sand form an uneasy tectonic arrangement. Heated tidally by its moons Ruhnu and Kihnu, however, ephemeral meltwater lakes exist in the planet's volcanic provinces, fueling the weather cycle and supplementing the sandy clouds with enough icy vapor to keep weather patterns primarily snowy. These clouds tend to gather on the afternoon half of the day side of the planet and precipitate throughout the night.
Because of its very low axial tilt, Jändjatali has almost no seasonality. Its moons create prominent occultations of the sun once per orbit. "Season-like" climate bands instead exist along the domains of tectonic vents, which make up the primary tectonic processes of the planet. Plate motions stretch out these provinces into long irregular mountain ranges, headed at one end by a rift valley and thermal province and at the other by collisional peaks. The hottest of these volcanic regions has an average groundwater temperature of 4°C during the daytime.
- "super-mars" freezing desert planet
- has water ice that melts and evaporates in the daytime in volcanic regions, falling back as snow
- two major moons, Ruhnu and Kihnu, cause big ol tidal volcanism
- most populated body despite high-G. Mass drivers and skyhooks take care of most product launches and EIW works for ships leaving
- mining of both metals and volatiles for use in inner system
- mmm yes buff gym planet everyone so buff and big and strong
Kiviloo

- Lower-gravity, lower atmosphere, lower temperature. hydrocarbon volatile mining
- Much easier on the bones, much lighter on the economy
- stellar and/or duo take over for this one idfk what to do with it
Valgejõe

- fucking ICE GIANT. ammonia harvesting and shit
- not really much going on but its got moons! irradiated ones cause of Tapa but moons!
Governance
- at least 2 or 3 independent nations, Taevaskoda is a loose alliance of "provinces" and states
- Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya claims some dominion, but they really got only a little influence
