The Strioboros. Moveriath, one of the three Legendary Beasts to have linguistic capabilities, was a notorious monster who rampaged through Koeya throughout the 6300s AT. He was the only Legendary Beast to ever attempt integration with civilized society, though he failed immensely. Rejected by all who met his path and cursed by a mage who hunted him across the Ocean of Flame, Moveriath rose to the monstrous expectations of him later in life, becoming a bitter and isolated individual. He destroyed a great deal of villages in his time, and felled three armies' worth of mages sent to end him.

The properties of Moveriath's body were incredible. An astremancer millennia before the practice was codified, who could subsist off of nothing but starlight and change its own form at will, with some applied effort. The legendary power to drink the night sky for energy, to burn that blood-energy as a great raging flame. The Strioboros' Ennean, Törrhyatz, managed to benefit from this after the beast's death.

Törrhyatz was Moveriath's only connection with others after escaping the mage-legions of Crymythwarre into the Ocean of Flame. The former was a mere child when Moveriath found him, and so he decided to raise him on a whim. Moveriath's life story was re-told by Törrhyatz after his death, eventually becoming the modern fairy tale of the Monster and the Maiden. The remains of his body remain undiscovered, rumored to be in a lost cave in the hottest and most remote depths of the desert.

Randy "The Astrologer" Barrowbret is a short and outspoken capricari from the city-state Keghi. After years of studying astronomy and crafting an incomplete model of the universe, Randy was struck with a devastating soulwhisper taht made him unable to perceive the night sky correctly. The dissonance of his soulwhisper makes him physically ill if exposed to the night air. This debilitating condition is what initially drove him to resettle in New Aegis. According to him, the light pollution makes nighttime much less difficult to endure outside.
Randy has made a great sum of money by capitalizing on the information stored within his soulwhisper. Taking conception of the universe and crafting it into a tabletop role-playing game, he founded Zodiac Games and is responsible for one of the most creative actively developed settings in New Aegis' entertainment industry. His debut game, "Star Signs & Spellbooks", was popular enough that he has since halted his work on other games and focused on releasing expansion content for it. Randy lives a lavish life in a penthouse suite in New Aegis' third most expensive apartment building, though beyond housing he tends to be quite frugal in lifestyle. He is well known for philanthropy. Randy cites this generosity as a matter of practicality, that he believes his value should be circulated through the city to get maximum effect.
Despite being something of a fiction-writing celebrity, Randy is a difficult person to deal with. His interest in astronomy is unable to be pursued due to his soulwhisper, and his frustrations tend to bubble up when impeded in his path by circumstances he can't control. Randy also has a habit of trying to be a prophet, often making loud and vague threats at people for something as simple as getting his drink order wrong. He is banned from every Remnan mage guild and institution.

Seren Afon-Tan, firstborn of the newest generation of the Afon-Tan house of Ailelli solar nobility, is an indigo-hued sun dragon currently residing in the wilderness of Eastern Remna. They are without occupation, currently studying music in pursuit of bardic magic. Once a traveller of the continent, they have decided to construct a semi-permanent residence alongside a small collection of friends.
Seren first fled from Ailell in 1130 LE, unable to bear the life expected of a sun dragon on the island and unwilling to uphold the legacy of the Afon-Tan house. They bear a deep resentment for the nation and its nobility. They travelled around much of Remna and made a home for themself just outside of Maytara's city limits until the Auvhlaus solar eclipse of 1131 LE, during which they destroyed much of the town square in a conflict with another dragon. Since then, they have not returned to Maytara and instead resumed travel through Remna's wilds.
