Ben Blacksnake

Benjamin Blacksnake is one of the primary protagonists in Saurian War.

History

Early Life

Ben was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and spent the first 7 years of his life there.

Then when he was eight-years-old he and his family moved to Orca Point, Oregon. There he met a his next-door neighbor, Rolf Maxwell, and the two became best friends almost instantly. For the next 3 years the boys were nearly inseparable, spending almost all their free-time together.

That changed one winter day when he and Rolf were playing near a frozen over pond, when Rolf’s sister, Sarah, fell through the ice and was unable to make her way out. Ben, ran off to find help from an adult, leaving Rolf to try and rescue his sister, near.y drowning himself in the process. Luckily Ben was able to rally both his and Rolf’ parents, along with some other neighbors, who fished both Maxwell kids out of the freezing waters.

Ben was hailed as a hero for getting help in time, something that infuriated Rolf, who felt it was undeserved. The animosity lead into a huge argument that ended the close friendship in an instant, replacing it with a harsh and bitter rivalry.

Once Ben was in High School, he tried out for the football team, which due to his large stature and determined personality all but guaranteed a position. Alongside his former friend, now going by Max, who was still resentful towards him.

Ben proved extremely adept at playing the sport earning him a star status on the team, which subsequently made him a very popular figure at school

Personality

Ben is generally chill and laid back making him the best choice for leader of the squad. As the former star of his school’s football team and would-be recipient of a sports scholarship, he has plenty of experience in managing his team-mates, that being said he often has trouble managing more than one thing at a time and has accidentally morphed in public more than any of the other members. Plus his inclination to please people often leaves his leadership strategy as ‘Just do whatever you think is best’. He is usually level-headed but can get overwhelmed and/or carried away when in the heat of battle.

He is also fiercely determined, he has a never-give-up attitude, willing to train himself to the point of physical collapse when he found out about Moynihan’s Dino-Squad and his former friend’s involvement with it.
