Aidan Briggs

Abandoned at birth, and raised in the wilderness by dinosaurs, Aidan Briggs is like a modern day Tarzan, having spent his youth fighting for survival and constantly adventuring he grew into a strong and intelligent man, with the ability to speak with his reptilian family and many other animal species. Now he is the current CEO of the Greene Foundation. He has a major social media presence, often showing off the creatures who live in Greene Foundation parks and preserves and his daily routine of caring for them and his personal pets. But he is always able to make time to return home to the creatures who raised him and explore strange new places to his heart’s content.

Personality

Aidan is bright-spirited and hopeful always trying to see the best in people. He also tends to be extremely scatterbrained and ADHD. He rarely takes anything seriously and prioritizes fun and comfort over most things in life, though he's willing to risk it all if it means helping a person or animal in need.

History

Early Life

Aidan was the result of a teenage pregnancy, his mother a sixteen-year-old who was not ready for the duties of motherhood. Put him in a box and set him off down a river, intending for the infant to drown in the ocean. Instead of dying, the current carried the Aidan across the ocean and onto the coastline of Four Salmon Island. He was then found by a group of dinosaurs living in the sanctuary, and they decided to take him in as a member of their group.

Aidan grew fast and strong with his surrogate family, when he was ten-years-old he had become physically stronger than most adults, he was also agile, fast and adept at moving through the dense foliage of the island, additionally he learned how to converse with the island’s creatures.

During that time a new species had been introduced to the island. Dilong paradoxus, while small, these tyrannosaurs travelled in swarms killing and eating anything and everything they came across. For a while they stayed on the north side of the island, while Aidan and his family lived in the south. But the Dilong could reproduce via parthenogenesis and soon their numbers grew so large that they had to migrate south.

Meeting the Greenes

After contolling the Dilong infestation, Thaddeus Greene, his daughter Zora Greene and few field biologists from the Greene Foundation, Zoe Tilos and Theodore Kilroy, went to the Island to do some field work and research. There they crossed paths with the now 16-year-old Aidan after saving Zora from a pack of Dilong, who, having never seen humans before in his life was fascinated by them and was able to recognize their similarities with himself.

The two quickly became very close to each other and with some coaxing from his family, Aidan returned to the mainland with the Greenes, though he visits the island often.

Battling Cipher

A year later, while Aidan and Zora were visiting his family, Cipher Ambrose arrived on the island, hoping to access the shut off time machine that Thaddeus hid there.

After several fights with Aidan, Cipher was able to find and activate the machine, he first attempted to travel back 17 years to kill Aidan as a baby. Aidan followed him through the time warp though and after a few detours in several other eras, Aidan was able to prevent Cipher from killing his infant self and pushed him back through the warp. While dragging Cipher through the Warp Space to get him back to the present, Cipher broke away and Aidan inadvertantly kicked him out of the warp space, sending Cipher flying out of linear time and causing the Warp Space to collapse in on itself.

Thaddeus's Disappearance

A year after the fiasco with Cipher, Thaddeus went missing while on a mission to Papua New Guinea in search of the Ropen. Presumed dead, the role of CEO of the Greene Foundation fell onto Zora's older sister Lisa Greene, who had been living with them for the past few months. Lisa absolutely fed up with the Foundation and the animals she had to deal with daily planned to defund the foundation and sell off all the species held in the various parks and conservation programs to the highest bidder in order to become rich enough to buy a place to live as far as possible from her family. Aidan overheard Lisa's plan through one of his animal companions, and he and Zora tried to take control of the foundation themselves. They went to the Foundation's board, in a power struggle now that Thaddeus was gone, and told them all about what they overheard. But the board simply did not believe him, and seeing as they were only eighteen and Aidan had no schooling whatsoever, the board declined to have him succeed Thaddeus.

So conspiring with the few people who believed him, Aidan worked to expose Lisa's plans and document them, hoping that it would be enough of a push for the board to realize that Lisa would destroy everything Thaddeus had worked so hard for, not to mention all the creatures that would suffer because of said destruction.
