No strict criteria is required, other than the agreement of the Home-Kinde themselves. |

Considered a myth to many, it is only a few individuals that are aware of the fact that Frynex are in fact real, and present throughout much of the local Cosmic Tide, both in the Voidsea, and the Realmlands.
Present on an untold number of worlds, and organized into Tribes, the Fyrnex are a seldom seen, but ever present. A person can go to a bar, and meet someone there, never realizing that the person they have spoken to is a Fyrnex. The Fyrnex are present everywhere, from Fasia, to Verdrasil, to Iroshara, nearly completely unknown to the local populations. They are one of the many Vikja Kinde across the local Voidsea. Sightings of creatures that are akin to the Fyrnex are more common in the Realmlands - And while this may indicate their activity on that plane, it is equally possible that the many other beasts that roam the Realmlands lead to cases of misidentification - Something that suits the Fyrnex themselves just fine.
Only a few not involved in the many shadow conflicts that permeate the Voidsea and Realmlands are aware of the existence of these beings, and know little about them - This is precisely how the Frynex like it. They maintain what they call the Mists - a shroud of secrecy as to their existence. They are to remain unknown to any other than their own, and in the event an outsider does learn of their existence, they are to limit that knowledge as best they can. This is to protect their territories, obscure their objectives, and protect them from their enemies - Of which they have many. Secrecy is the name of the game for the Fyrnex, and it is a game they have gotten very good at.
Frynex are powerful creatures - Underestimating them in even the slightest degree is a recipe for disaster. Capable of tearing brick and steel apart with ease, resistant to bullets, swords and laser fire, heightened instincts, and connected directly to the Arcane art of Taekni, a long Fyrnex is a massive threat to contend with - And a pack of them is easily capable of tearing down Void-Ships and Void-Stations. It is fortunate for most Spheres that these are rarely their goals - But attacks of this nature are neither unheard of, or beyond the either the moral, or practical bounds of the Fyrnex.
The true goals of the Fyrnex are difficult to ascertain, as are their origins. Much information known about them comes from the interactions they have had with the Valhallan Brotherhood, or have been extracted from the Iron Decree.
Home-world, and Spiritual Home-Worlds
Unlike many other Kinde, the Fyrnex do not have a singular home-world as most would understand it.
This is because Fyrnex can manifest in most worlds reached by the Broadwave. Because of this, and the fact that Fyrnex can manifest in any humanoid Kinde, the idea of a true Fyrnexian home-world does not exist.
They do however, have what they refer to as a Spiritual Home-World. Nythera, as it is home to the oldest known Pack, and their stories go back the furthest, is perhaps the reason for this.
'During the Lost Age, our ancestors were trapped upon the frigid colds of Nythera - They survived, they built, and against all laws of sense and reason, they thrived. The Allfather saw this, and chose them. The Allfather reconstructed them, changed them at our very genetic level - Enhanced them in some ways, limited them in others. That is how we came to be - That is how any of us came to be. When a Light-Walker undergoes the change, it is by the will of the Allfather that such a thing occurs. Those are our origins - That is who we are' - An excerpt from the Scripts passed down, the original author taking the name Silverback Crescent.
This tale makes many Kin-Fyrnex consider Nythera to be something of a spiritual home-world, even if it is not their own home-world. Elvendritch-Fyrnex often consider Karoiro to he their spiritual home-world.
Like other Vikja, each Home-Kinde has a world they consider to be their Ancestral Home-World. These worlds are distinct from a Spiritual Home-World, which refers to the Fyrnexian Kinde as a whole. Ancestral Worlds differ in that they are unique to the Home-Kinde. For example, the Kin-Fyrnex have a different Ancestral Home-World to the Elvendritch-Frynex.
Ancestral Home-Worlds are usually worlds that have a close association to that particular home-Kinde, and the reason it has an association can be for any number of reasons, such as being the world where their first Home-Kinde originated, the site of an important battle, an important Data-Site, a world that the Vikja consider important to hold, or a world of cultural significance to the home-Kinde themselves. No strict criteria is required, other than the agreement of the Home-Kinde themselves.

Forms
Fyrnex are capable of transforming into Five forms
Home Form
The Home Form is what is considered the "base" form of a Frynex - The Kinde that they were before their transformation. This can be any number of Kinde - Kin, Elvendritch, Quirri, Elarun, or any other Kinde. This grants them the advantage of stealth, as well as free use of Taekni and their Traits.
Fyrnex of various Kinde refer to one another as 'Wolf-Brothers'. Home-Forms of the same Kinde will often call themselves 'Kinde-Brothers.'
Half-Form
A Half-form is when a Fyrnex is halfway between a Home form and a True Form - They are a halfway point between their Home Kinde, and their True form. This is usually a humanoid form, but with fur, and the appearance of a wolf. In this form they have enhanced strength and speed, and remain capable of using Traits.
Dire-Form
A Dire Form allows a Fyrnex to transform into Dire Wolf. These beasts are virtually indistinguishable from any natural Dire Wolf, allowing them to merge with packs, or other areas where Dire Wolves are not an uncommon sight, such as Kin settlements. In this form, they have all the advantages a Dire Wolf may have, plus their level of intelligence remains. They re totlaly incapable of utilizing Traits or Taekni in this form, however.
True Form
The True Form is the form which best depicts the Werewolf - A massive, powerful Humanoid Monster. While in this form, a Fyrnex has immense power, speed, instincts, reflexes, and capacity to endure damage - Though they are not invincible. While in this form, they are unable to use their Traits, but they are capable of using Taekni, which is far more powerful in this form. However, maintaining this form for long periods of time is draining, leaving it only usable both as a last resort, and as a weapon of total destruction.
