Overview

Vuhlore-Antaroth, born as "Vuhlore", and known to those aware of his existence as the "Father of All Darkness," was a male member of the Primavar; the first fourteen Typhonians to inhabit Creation. Initially fashioning himself as "Trisborne;" Vuhlore-Antaroth was the third Typhonian, and fifth sentient being overall, to be individually crafted by the omnipotent Annuat prior to their dispersal; their departure ultimately marking the genesis of the Great Age Typhonia.

Vuhlore-Antaroth's impact and effect upon the annals of universal history is utterly unmatched: for it was from his mind that he would form the greatest force above and beyond all, save that of the Amaranth which spawned it; a force of infinite and innate dominance that would catalyze into the Source of Darkness. From his spite and malice, the original Darkness would sow itself into the fabric of all existence, becoming the dominant and the greater of the twin forces of change; both of which would work in-order with the inherent Amaranth-design of Imagindarium's Ultimate End.

Despite being the progenitor of all Darkness; Vuhlore-Antaroth would never — nor could ever — be its true master. That honor would fall to the Noctis-Umbra known as "Mystara;" as she was the living Rufescent embodiment of all Darkness at its absolute and total immensity. And while Vuhlore would sit at a station of power far beyond her; Darkness would never be servant to him at its greatest extent. Instead: Darkness would await for the coming of its true bearer; ultimately betraying its father at the height of his power and bringing about his downfall.

Vuhlore-Antaroth was the principle actor of the Typhonian Age, with nearly every major instance in the era sparked directly from his actions. He would begin the Typhonian War that characterized the great majority of the era, splitting the Typhonians and their Inomeni progeny between the forces of Light and Darkness. The defeat of Vuhlore-Antaroth and his followers would ultimately mark the conclusion of the Great Age Typhonia as well; following the end of then infinite Typhonia to the now finite Ambrosia, and subsequent imprisonment of Vuhlore-Antaroth within the Void of Totality.

Biography

Third of Typhonia

Vuhlore was amongst the very first sentients to ever inhabit Creation; emerging soon after both his elder brother Vermeilaranth, and elder sister Aelanna. His creation followed Aelanna's own making of her equal and opposite partner; Adonis, who was the first man to be formed. The Annuat would create Vuhlore near an instance after; molding him in the principle of masculinity that Aeleanna now defined as Remnant principle. His figure initially was that of a featureless Amanoid man; though like those that preceded — and all those that would follow — his form would begin to morph around the inherent identity he would grasp into being. From it; a large form of blackened armor would emerge around him: hardened dark steel, featureless helm, and long shadowed burning embers would flicker into the Amaranth that surround.

Vuhlore, like his thirteen kin, were all initially united in service to that of a lone-figure, one they would name "The Great Unifier;" for it would call to its side with such beauty and finality that all who heard it would be compelled beyond themselves to kneel in accord. Each would be given their name by the Unifier, and they would all — in equal difference — listen and wait upon its word; for it came from beyond them in the Realm of Libation on-high. Through its words, it would "teach" them; grooming and guiding each towards a destined role so that it may have its Line to the End followed to the absolute letter. The Unifier would take the greatest interest in Vuhlore; openly displaying its greater favor towards him in the presence of the others, as a means to foster within him a sense of superiority over the rest of the Primavar.

At the end of its lessons; the Great Unifier would reveal a last secret to each: the prior existence of the "One Which Came Before." The "One" it spoke of was that of the Primeveranth; the first sapient being crafted too by the Annuat, during the Dawn Epoch prior to then current Typhonian Age. The Primeveranth, like its creators, possessed omnipotent powers over the forces of Creation; able to create and destroy any and all with equal measure. However; it would ultimately be unable to wield this power beyond minor feats of Intent, for the Great Unifier would fill into its mind the forces of doubt, conflict, and contradiction. Unable to grasp the immensity of contrast, it would erupt; destroying itself and dispersing its Remnant essence throughout the infinite.

The Great Unifier spoke to them that it was their shared and ultimate inherency; to each be granted total dominion over one of the fourteen major aspects of the Primeveranth's former being; with every subsequent aspect divulged to become greater and greater in status as it moved through them all in an order determined only by it. By the instance it had made it to Vuhlore, only himself, and the eldest of Typhonia Vermeilaranth remained, and it would turn to Vuhlore first; a motion he perceived to be a blow to his person, for he had been led to believe that the greatest and last of gifts would be his.

All the same: the Unifier would turn to Vuhlore; instructing him that he was to be the mightiest of all Typhonia; granting him the powers of near-total omnipotence which the Primeveranth had once held. A pleasure soon dashed, as the Unifier would then turn to his elder brother Vermeilaranth; instructing to both that whilst Vuhlore would hold near unlimited power; Vermeilaranth would hold its greatest gift: The End in Sight, allowing him a continuous glimpse of existence's true design. Moreover: The Great Unifier would make it clear that none else may know this truth, not even Vuhlore; who was to be made forever impotent should he wish to cause him harm, despite his power.

Father of All Darkness

Like clockwork; Vuhlore instantly understood this to be an intended attack to his being, a perception the Unifier knowingly guided him towards. And in fulfilment of his destined role; Vuhlore fell into a deep discontent: for he believed that infinite power was worth nothing if the true-nature of Creation would eternally remain beyond him. In spite towards all around him, he elected not to participate in the Primavar's creation of the Thirteen Realms; nor engage with the latter generations of Typhonians, or that of the Inomeni progeny in which they would collectively create. He would retreat into himself; looking on from afar with growing discontent and disgust.

Eventually: a nihilistic madness of spite, malice, and corrosive contempt swelled in his heart. As the rest of Typhonia continued to call upon the Remnant essence of the Primeveranth to create greater and greater wonders; Vuhlore would instead pour all his cruel and endless utter fury at this universe which gatekept him from absolute heights into a mechanism to unleash infinite horror upon all creations his kindred would form into being. From his Darkness, his great Ring Sadistic would be created; the engine in which he would wage total war against his kin; for while he himself may be unable to harm them, those which spawned from his anger were not so disposed.

And with this; two Sources were eternally crystalized into the metanarrative fabric of reality. The first being that of Darkness; infinite in Remnant of his want to dominate his will of discontent upon all else. The second formed in total contradiction towards the object of his great ire; Antaroth. Antaroth would stand as his "Anti-Amaranth;" his ideal to shatter all of Creation into total acreative death. With its formation, he would affix his ideal to his name as the now "Vuhlore-Antaroth;" so that all may know his intent for eternal eradicative cessation across everything they hold true and dear.

Typhonian War

At first: Vuhlore-Antaroth elected to sabotage the endeavors of his brothers and sisters. If they were to construct themselves a land; Vuhlore would burn it to ash. If they were to create luminous light through the Edoasteri, he would ensure they go dark forever. The greater of his slights against his kin would be the slow infection of his Darkness that would seep itself in the very marrow of the creations they would attempt to forge; marring their work eternally. The wounds inflicted upon them were subtle at first; formed in an effect that would make the rest of Typhonia to believe that they themselves were to blame for the souring of their efforts. Though they would become more overt as the level of destruction was increased more and more.

It wasn't long until the knowledge that Vuhlore-Antaroth was responsible for these slights became widespread amongst the Typhonians. However; a growing divide and began to fill amongst their ranks, as clashing ideals for what forms of creative expression should be allowed to exist within Typhonia. This fragmenting was further exasperated by Vuhlore himself, who would actively seek out the most independently-minded of his kin to join in a stark opposition; one which was primarily targeted upon his twin elder siblings of Vermeilaranth and Aelanna, as his madness at being denied the Amaranth-truth only deepened with every growing instance.

Vuhlore would then gather a loyal armada of Typhonians and their Inomeni who held great levels of his Darkness in their hearts; forming the "Vuhleano-Typhonia;" dedicated to subjugating any other who dare oppose their dominating will. To combat this growing Darkness, Vermeilaranth and Aeleanna would themselves form an army of followers known to themselves as the "Aelano-Typhonia;" embracing the Source of Light to challenge Vuhlore's shadowed-might.

With support from near half of Typhonia, Vuhlore would grant his followers an army of Serranic beasts forged within his great Ring. These he would name "Baelrah;" engines of awesome destructive wrath capable of matching, and even surpassing Typhonian might. Though Vuhlore had been given limitless personal might; his ability to create was hampered by his wicked intent, a state much intended by the Unifier. Endless potential meant very little if his intent was wholly impotent in will, for it was merely agonized and self-loathed thrashing against all else.

Appearance

Vuhlore-Antaroth's exact physical appearance often varied depending on the event in his life we are referring to. A relative consistency had persisted throughout Vuhlore's outward action: a large, foreboding, and ominous armored masculine figure which appeared largely expressionless to the outside world. The pattern of this armor was the most major varying factor of his fluid physical structure, though they would always adopt a dark-black hue comprised of interlocking and sharp metallic-like protrusions
