The Xa'Thin Commonwealth. What can I say about it? A growing, technological empire that has this Universe under its belt. With ties to The Shroud, they surely know a thing or two about what is right and what is wrong. Invading them would be the biggest mistake of anyone's lives, even bad for some of ours. It would be vital to stay on this nation's good side, for the betterment of everyone in the room. |

}}The Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya is a federal monarchy occupying all of Aggregate Aylathiya. The Suvaren Federative Republic is the center of the Commonwealth, its core territory around Vossen and its various territories comprise nearly half of the population. The other states within the Commonwealth, ranging in size from single worlds to entire star systems, are as diverse as the dozen species residing in the Commonwealth. States have the right to self-governance, but the provinces answer to Suvaren. The Commonwealth occupies all of Aggregate Aylathiya, boarding Martial Space to galactic west and Zalanthium to galactic south. |
The youngest major power in Aylathiya, the Commonwealth is the latest iteration of the Commonwealth Project, a sacrosanct ideal found within Novel Aeternalism. Several Commonwealths have existed in the past, dating all the way back to Sedrua some five thousand years ago. |
You can think of The Commonwealth as being the main Brain for this Universe. Their driving force, smart decisions, and sheer and utter power makes it a threat to anything that can cross its path. Put this alongside the soldier of this universe, The Confederacy of Humanity, you can really understand how these two big bosses came to be this powerful. |
The Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya began its life as a political party called the Aeternal Common Party. It slowly gained power as nobles, corporations, and republics throughout Aggregate Aylathiya put their weight behind the party. After only a century, they had over a third of economy of the Greater Martial Consilium. Its centralization only continued until Vurilia Jutopati, the party's founder and eternal leader, sat next to the Imperator on their left side. After the devastating Aylathiya's Ignominy, Jutopati took the chance to broker an independence deal. After a century of de facto independence, the Commonwealth emerged, uniting territory both within and without the Consilium. |

The Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya is a Federacy made up of five states, four provinces, and a capital state. The federal government derives its power from the senate, which controls the budget, military, and taxation. The head of both state and government, the True Shamaya is Vurilia Jutopati who is officially a part of the founding document, the widely venerated Aylathiya's Treaty. Accompanying Jutopati is a president, Laj Praxis, who is appointed by a popular vote of senators and state leaders. The president exercises most executive authority, while Jutopati maintains the right to appoint government officials, promote generals, and acts as the chief diplomat. |

===End of the First Commonwealth=== |
Naturally, Sedrua did attempt to silence opposition. Humiliating defeat after defeat made its few remaining oligarchs grew worried. In response, commonfolk began to rally behind the ideas of independence and self-governance. Vurilia Jutopati took power then; the immortal was confident he could rule the nation. Infrastructure was modernized, local corruption was curbed, and travel was streamlined. In a sense, Vurilia became the most powerful man in Aylathiya, single-handedly sculpting the lives of countless people. When Vurilia began disempowering his fellow oligarchs, known as Sydiah's Architects, the resulting coup forced him to flee. |
External powers took advantage of the instability. Backed by a Quintet Payotari Association, countless rebels, including Jutopati, began tearing the nation apart. However, not a single nation thought of this as the end of Sedrua. Despite the local rule, all nations saw themselves as a part of this empire. Each leader vowed to restore The Commonwealth as soon as possible, and so, Aggregate Aylathiya began its long modern era. |

Various nations split off from Sedrua, but only a handful of Sydiah's Architects remained. In the past, the various territories of Sedrua were held together by the threat of unmatachable violence. Any revolution would be met by the wrath of the universe's greatest magi. With most of them becoming corpses on far flung planets and Sydiah unable to produce more, the region became quite unstable. Foreign powers took the chance to take entire stars for themselves. The people of Aggregate Aylathiya needed to learn how to properly govern themselves, especially with foreign powers breathing down their necks. |
Sedrua was at its most dissonant in 6100 CE. While most of the major players had already formed, much of Sedrua had become ever-finer states until single planets held dozens if not hundreds of warring fiefs. One thousand years later and only two people were alive who saw Sedrua, Vurilia Jutopati and Thonde Yutira. The former headed the Diunity and the latter the Golomian Confederacy. The vision of the Commonwealth would have long fallen out of the public consciousness, but these two managed to keep it relevant in circles of power. Whether it was in academic circles, religious conferences, military strategy, or propaganda, these two were both adamant that "The Commonwealth" would emerge under their respective rules. |
== Description == |
The Xa'Thin Commonwealth, (commonly known as The Commonwealth, TXC, or just Commonwealth) is the prime home to all of Xa'Thainity. With a staggering 92,000 galaxies under its belt, The Commonwealth is the 2nd largest nation within our local Home Cluster. Very sizable, indeed. The Commonwealth is also largely known through the local universe, mostly because of its unique and staggering features. Many empires know its place, and power as a result of its large area. The Commonwealth's fleet size is also a large contributing factor. |
For three thousand years, the two immortals exchanged geopolitical blows, both waiting for the other to hurry up and die like all the other architects had. Even The Three had all died or went into hiding, the QPA was long replaced, and the last remnants of Sydiah's legacy had long faded. While much of this change was organic, one entity caused much of the change—Mars. This great and ancient spirit, channeled by the Imperator of Gran Rubedo, hated beings like Jutopati and Yutira who came to be known as Overlords. Gran Rubedo, a Human church-turned-state, easily bested Sedrua's old enemies. Both leaders knew that they could not face Mars or Mars' worshipers. Shielded with nothing but distance, the other players in Aylathiya sensed the danger as well. Both leaders had their respective nations join the Core Worlds Alliance to protect themselves from Mars; they decided that molding the Alliance into their Commonwealth would do. The so-called spirit-worshiping barbarians had grown too powerful for infighting to keep Aylathiya disunited. |
This cements The Commonwealth a colossal, and powerful nation with countless amounts of interesting worlds, and sights to see. Even comprehending the sheer size and capability of this empire in nearly impossible, and knowing its lengthy history is even harder to do. |
===The Core Worlds Alliance=== |
The Commonwealth controls much of the eastern hemisphere of the known universe, and it is bleeding into neighbor universes rapidly. Countless amounts of projects and expeditions are being set within the new areas, and it will take many decades for them to completely develop. |
It was the closest attempt yet at a proper take on the Commonwealth. Even for immortal beings with the mythological strength, closely controlling the actions of vast interest groups, kings, political parties, companies, and religious movements was difficult. Taken aback by how easily their Commonwealth project suddenly arose, the two architects worked tirelessly to maintain the Alliance. At its height, the alliance had over a dozen stars represented within it, including ones never under Sedrua's control. |
At first it was simply a military alliance, then an economic zone, then free travel was permitted, and then the lines between its nations blurred. Surviving the Great Empyreal Crusade, Un'oit Ascension, War of the Last Alliance, and rise of Kalliolel, the alliance seemed it would last. Then, the worst diplomatic incident in history happened. Tensions were manageable, however, the interests keeping the alliance together slowly diverged. Desperate for more territory to pay its top officials with, Sagittarium invaded the Sakase system, home of Lowyzol. Lowyzol, while not part of the Core Worlds Alliance, was a close partner and demanded the entire inner system for itself. |
The Commonwealth's capital world and homeworld is Lokira, a cool-mild terra located within the center of the M110 galaxy. How such a powerful nation grew in M110 is quite the mystery, actually. It is theorized while Xa'Thainity was running out of room, they discovered an equivalent to the wormhole drive. This let them rapidly force their way into Andromeda. |
Tensions liked this pitted the nations against one another, and Yutira made a critical error—forgetting that her nation was not a nation of computers. The ruling class of the Golomian Confederacy was scared of Sagittarian expansion. That and pressure from The Accompaniment further strained their faith in their leader. Yutira, desperate to keep the Alliance safe, refused to escalate tensions. Top ranking officials began working behind the scenes for their own gain. In 8912 CE, Sagittarium left the alliance and declared war, it could gain more territory through violence than through peace. The Commonwealth disappeared once more. |
The Commonwealth is comprised of hundreds of tiny states, that phase into bigger ones. These states come in orders of magnitude, with I being the first order of states, and III being the last. Each and every state is self-sufficient, and can trade with other states. The average Order V state takes up about 2 thousand galaxies, and it is impossible to wrap around even a single one of these states. Almost every single one has a unique world or worlds, full of history and activities. |
The resulting chaos shattered the Core World Alliances and many of its members. The resulting catastrophe, combined with the unrelated War of the Last Alliance in Florathel, crippled galactic trade. |
Some Commonwealth enclaves located within other universes dot them like little sprinkles. These states are complete colonies, and there are an estimated 300 at any time. These little states don't usually last very long by themselves, and they will be connected with the main Commonwealth shortly after their creation. |
===Aurothiya=== |
== Relationships with other nations == |
Aeternalism holds that six people throughout history were holy emanations of nature, avatars of the most divine called Angels. Both Sydiah and Kalliolel attempted to resurrect them, ending in catastrophic failure. Once again the galactic landscape was fundamentally different. The Dominion of Astraeus very much dominated Aylathiya. Indomitable in both military and economic might, there was little to be done against it. The nations of Aggregate Aylathiya became vassals one after the other. The last nation to hold out was the planet of Zushilo, maintaining its pride as the ancient center of Sedrua. |
The Commonwealth has many relations with nations around the local Home Cluster. Here are some relations with large nations located around the Local Group and beyond. |
Over three billion lived on Zushilo, most of which being Bahattes. With Dominion ships constantly looming in the outer system, the planet spent most of its budget on its military. Yutira waited for the inevitable economic downturn that would come from being isolated from the Dominion's trade networks. When it came, Yutira entered politics. She supported a party that blamed the downturn not on corrupt officials or on economic isolation, but on the Zythyn and Viphian minorities. Most of the planet's high-ranking officials quickly adopted the story. Seeing this pattern countless times before, Yutira knew how to speed it up. She had Zythyn radicals armed and, despite the obvious financial connections, simply had the media tell hundreds of conflicting narratives to obfuscate the truth. |
==== The Confederacy ==== |
The Commonwealth has a great bond with the Confederacy of Humanity, and The Confederacy is one of The Commonwealth's biggest allies, if not the biggest. Both nations usually embark on large projects, and share technology with each other. In fact, not a single major conflict has occurred between The Confederacy and The Commonwealth has been recorded in history. They have been together since the very beginnings, and have known each other for what somehow seems like longer. |
It took a decade for Zushilo's entire political apparatus to change. The paranoia brought about by the constant threat of terrorism on top of external threats demanded release. Yutira had finally gotten an edge on Jutopati, all she needed to do was push a little further. A mythology of national inheritance from Sedrua formed, primarily a grass roots mythos. It promoted worship of the angels, so when Yutira suggested the government resurrect them, the government had no choice but to comply. It would be expensive, but getting loans was never difficult with the Dominion so eager to trap its neighbors in debt. Yutira emptied her coffers she accumulated over thousands of years, in hundreds of currencies, and stockpiles of resources she only remembered when she sifted through archives. |
==== Xorthons ==== |
Commonwealth relationships with Xorthons have been spotty, at best. The Commonwealth essentially shuns the Xorthons for their infamous use of slavery, and has had minimal contact, and trade with them. The Xorthons do the same, and they just sort of exist angrily next to each other. The Commonwealth is currently trying to convince the Xorthons to phase out organic slavery, and at least use robotic helpers, instead. |
Zushilo's new government, Aurothiya, solidified around a figure named Octarch Eleleth. An exceptionally talented and ancient magus. While young and weak compared to Yutira, she set her pride aside and claimed Eleleth was the next angel. Being the eighth angel, hence the 'Octarch' title, Eleleth lead the reconstruction of the Eye of Aylathiya. This ancient megastructure, capable of resurrection, was so expensive to refurbish that doing so would be economic suicide in almost all situations. It was suicidal for Sedrua to build even all that time ago when resources were far more plentiful. Eleleth, just another tool in Yutira's endless rivalry with Jutopati, proved a dangerous one. Competent beyond Yutira's estimation, Eleleth hahd Jutopati's schemes on the other side of the universe foiled within the year. Jutopati had no choice but to flee to Zushilo, fearing execution warrants in many places and powerlessness everywhere else. |
==== Thesoki ==== |
The Commonwealth is quite peaceful and timid with the Thesokian people. Recently, as of 199927 CE, The Commonwealth has slowly loaned a large sum of area to them, to let them grow and prosper on their own. Some have even rumored that The Commonwealth is donating Universe Portals to let them start a fresh domain somewhere else. |
Jutopati, reduced to a servant, lost because another person entered what was supposed to be a two-player game. Yutira hardly had time to gloat before the Eye of Aylathiya was repaired and all the angels resurrected. The angels were magi of unparalleled power, capable of ruling multiple star systems by themselves, and they were thrust into an unfamiliar environment with jumbled memories. Jutopati and Yutira rushed to Sydiah's side, seeing who could influence this most legendary angel. The others got a grand tour of the universe, filtered through Eleleth's state doctrine of course. Already, the Eye of Aylathiya was preparing to resurrect other powerful magi, such as Sydiah's Architects. |
==== Nok’Chu-Raa ==== |
The Commonwealth is quite neutral with the Nok'Chu-Raa, and has only begun mildly trading with them since the 195th millennium. The Commonwealth has also loaned land to them, and is currently trying to build better relations vi trading, and technological helping. |
=== |
===Commonwealth of Post-Sedruan States=== |
Zaphenim's status as creator of humanity, which included the Bahattes, gradually took the spotlight from Sydiah. His raw power and deific status spawned entire religious movements such as Lux Father, Our Lord. Zaphenim used this influence to great effect, recruiting the various nations once part of Sedrua and beyond into a new nation. At the request of Yutira, it was to be named the Commonwealth of Post-Sedruan States. |
Contact with the Tlonian Empire is quite limited, because The Commonwealth does not have enough knowledge on them. The Commonwealth simply stated that The Tlonian Empire is an interesting Type-III civilization, and attempts to loan them land are being made. |
It took a great deal of courage for every state in the Commonwealth to simultaneously reject vassalage. At the behest of Eleleth, they began rapidly arming. The narrative of an ancient deity coming to save the people of Sedrua proved compelling. Trillions began to think of themselves as "Sedruan." |
As of 200000 CE, only a few dozen major transmissions have actually been made between The Commonwealth and The Tlonian Empire, and some Xa'Thin transmission experts did not detect any brain waves, or psionic traces from them. This made they very few conspiratorial, and overthinking transmission experts infer that they were a dangerous AI, like that is the case. Anyways, all is known is that they are a peaceful, yet mysterious empire. |
The last hurdle to independence, getting rid of the socialists. The Confederacy of Borealis is a peculiar entity in history, the wealthiest privately-owned entity in history and somehow controlled by six hundred billion voting members. The vast majority of socialist movements ended up some way or another a part of Borealis, hence its title as a "Confederacy." This equally applied to the worker coops and unions found throughout the Commonwealth. Eleleth had an elaborate plan meant for the Commonwealth to adopt similar aesthetics to encourage its large cooperative sector to abandon the international union. The plan was well underway when Zaphenim simply vaporized a protest with such force that the area remains radioactive to this day. |
== Economy, Customs, and Notes == |
The Commonwealth has the best economy in the local Home Cluster. This allows for it to invest a large portion of money into technology, and the living quality of citizens. It is also known that The Commonwealth and The Confederacy have a very similar quality of life, and a minor race for perfect utopia is locally initiated between Confederate and Commonwealth systems that are nearby. These have pushed for absolute happiness, and perfection throughout a majority of the universe. |
The Confederacy of Borealis immediately demanded the execution of Zaphenim as a "class enemy" which caused a significant rift in the group as many of its members held Zaphenim as a holy figure. Eleleth ran with it, using this call for execution as a wedge against "Universal Martialism," a phrase meant to denounce anything that originated in Martial Space as degenerate, which happened to include most of the socialists. Eleleth forbade Zaphenim from killing any more protestors, which, unbeknownst to Eleleth, permanently ruined their relationship. Strategic arrests and a purge of government officials and military officers with "Martial" beliefs commenced. They did not care that this also permanently alienated the Dominion of Astraeus, Mars' primary worshipers. |
The Commonwealth is a high-ranking member of The Galactic Counsel, and it can make large choices without much consent from other members. It can do things like construct Universe Portals, wage war, and |
===War of the Ancients=== |
Xa'Thin and foreign life in this nation is so good, that there hasn't been an impoverished or disadvantaged area within The Commonwealth in millennia. The Commonwealth and its leader, Kra'Imir strive for perfection, and for a continuation of the grand 'Imir family hundred-millennia legacy. |
Neither Jutopati nor Yutira had much control over the situation anymore. However, their goal had been reached. Now, to get Sydiah to prevent the Commonwealth from tearing itself apart. Once again the two were on the same side. Zaphenim had Ohko venture to Martial Space since she was a major figure in Martial Civil Religion. Sydiah, slowly gaining enough confidence to make her own decisions, ordered Jutopati and Yutira to help her negotiate with similar nations. War was inevitable, she reasoned, so it was good to recruit as much support as possible. What other nations could justify a massive conflict on ideological grounds? Ones whose leaders are demonized in Martial Civil Religion. |
POLIKY of the Civese Great Cities was a great choice, Leviathan had been harassed by Mars itself before, the Nisrine Collective had faced devastation without reparation from Mars, DELYATU seemed to side with them without giving a reason, and Aztaya agreed for the chance to tear down its rivals. Sydiah tried to keep the peace for as long as possible, but war inevitably began in 9730 CE. |
The Commonwealth is a vast core for psionics, and psionic organisms. It is said that if you are born there, you have a large chance of gaining psychedelic powers, because of your teachings. It doesn't matter who you are, as long as you're sapient, and are civilized, you will have a large chance of getting psionic abilities by the age of 3 days. |
The Confederacy of Borealis pressured Imperator Tange Gen to declare war, giving them the support of all ten duchies of the Dominion. Mobilizing the entire massive military took tremendous political capital. Motivating the content lords and ladies of the Dominion to spend trillions fighting a war over the Confederacy's grievances was difficult. Most sent a mere fraction of their soldiers, leaving the Confederacy to bear the brunt of the war effort. It would have been a quick conflict with the Confederacy buckling from taking on a coalition of six powerful nations. Then, Sachitel made a move. Of course she would make a move, she was used to acting without the need for permission. Despite Eleleth's best efforts to keep the angels in line, Sachitel wanted her home world of Eosphoros for herself. She gathered whoever was willing to listen to her and flew to this world, directly next to the Dominion homeworld of Eos. |
==== Making new Xa'Thins/Soldiers ==== |
How are Xa'Thins made, you ask? Well, it does not involve a horrible birthing process, alike humans or other mammals. Millennia ago, before genetic cloning and even painless birthing, Xa'Thins laid large egg-like structures, which they would keep tended and incubated for approximately 3 standard months. The hatchling would then grow to be about 1/2 the mothers size, and walking within a few weeks. The newborn would also molt into new scales many times, causing annoying messes. In a Xa'Thin home similar to a 21st century Earth, electronic heating and cooling for the eggs were readily available, and vaccines would sometimes be injected inside the egg if a vulnerability was detected. |
This got the Ursa Duchy to mobilize to protect its world. One by one the duchies began full mobilization, terrified of the threat that the angels posed. This spurred the Commonwealth's allies to action, bringing the war to a new bloody height. The horrifying scale, new Magi-based tactics, and planetary devastation, made both sides desperate. Sagittarium ended up involved as POLIKY's bioweapons made their way toward its worlds. Gen Tange ended up killed by POLIKY shortly thereafter. Leading to a series of short-lived monarchs until Jezebel Drusus took power. Zaphenim, rusty from millennia without combat, had to personally face the Imperatrix as she lead elite magi on rampages deep behind the front lines. This only earned her the respect her subjects as they became more willing to fight behind her. |
Ever since the creation of cloning, most Xa'Thins have been created and taught in the lab. Most Xa'Thins are taught everything by neural linkage, and are given some unique memories of the universe to let them know their place. Every Xa'Thin can be given a custom name, as well. By hour 4, most Xa'Thins walk out of the lab, and pursuit a great life in front of them. The more rudimentary labs located on fresh colonies may take some Xa'Thins a few days or weeks in the lab to get adjusted, and some Amish-like communities have put a stop to cloning altogether, and they birth with the painful process. |
Imperatrix Jezebel was an important figure in the fight, both as a hero for the Dominion and the ultimate villain. Yutira had been captured and taken to the capital. There, she filmed her violent disassembly of Yutira, somehow making the execution of a machine more gory than anything than bled. She personally scattered the shards, made of precious metals, in poor areas, a disrespectful end as she ended up bought and sold. This only further radicalized both populations, but the gap in production capabilities slowly ground down the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth's allies broke away one by one, usually surrendering or falling to internal coups. |
With the process of cloning, new soldiers can be pumped out like there is no tomorrow. The labs that first created cloned soldiers gave them benefits. The labs gave them excellent strength with The Shroud, heightened anger, more adrenaline creation, tougher scales, and false memories of battle, and vigorous training. This method has been replaced by cybernetic enhancement, and by turning new soldiers' souls over to The Shroud right as they are born. This makes them a certified Shroud Entity, and these soldiers have sublime psionic power. |
With the Commonwealth standing alone, Eleleth could not end the conflict. The pride of his nation was at stake. He had all the angels contribute as much as possible to the conflict as they were highly effective weapons. However, only Rinayo and Isayo complied. Ohko hadn't returned, Sachitel already brokered peace in exchange for Eosphoros, and Sydiah disappeared for months at a time on a diplomatic campaign with the various dukes. Eleleth stood alone, not a true deity like the angels he had summoned, but far too proud to admit it. Zaphenim calmly reminded Eleleth of this fact one day during an international broadcast in which Eleleth attempted to get the angels to act. Zaphenim crushed Eleleth's head on the stage and declared, "This man gave me one too many orders." The terrifying power to single-handedly topple nations, to direct history, was the power of an Overlord, of which Zaphenim has become emblematic. |

=== Creation of The Commonwealth (104579 CE) === |
With the Commonwealth's army in ruins, generals and aristocrats throughout the Dominion rushed toward it to take as much territory as they could. Imperatrix Jezebel personally delineated who would get to control which territory, increasing the number of duchies by two times. While this certainly caused political instability, the creation of the Greater Martial Consilium assuaged the fears that Jezebel was getting too strong. Everyone with a noble title could vote in this assembly, creating the means for the various duchies to override unilateral imperial decrees. Offhandedly, Jezebel gave each of the angels a title to keep them content. |
As the Xa'Thin Galactic Utopia's economy rapidly declined over taking too much resources, and spreading its territory out too thin, a new empire had to be planned of quickly. The Commonwealth was essentially a last ditch effort on saving Xa'Thainity. |
Years went by and Jezebel's War ended with most of the nobility destroyed and power centralized among a much smaller aristocracy. The angels stayed neutral, which demoted most of them to vassals of the duke Zaphenim, who had grown increasingly confident in his right to rule. Zaphenim grew increasingly frustrated with the system of formalities, rituals, and restrictions placed on him by his title. |
Once the XGU disbanded, countless amounts of worlds set a different pace, and turned themselves over to The Commonwealth. About 64% of former XGU territory was given to The Commonwealth within a few months, and it seemed like enough. The rest of the territory was very thinly populated, and was either given to close allies, like The Confederacy, or abandoned entirely. |
A banquet, where every high-ranking noble was invited to celebrate the crowning of Wren Drusus. Zaphenim made a big show of how little he liked this event, including mocking the Imperatrix herself. His hatred for the Consilium began when he was not invited to the next one. In his place, Ohko joined the group despite not even having a title. |
These new worlds suddenly had to change many factors about themselves. For a start, major worlds like Lokira, or Aboll had to immediately change their flag, calm the populations, and change many other small things like location, and technology dating. Then, they had to follow a brand new set of Commonwealth rules and recent treaties. Here are the simplified ground rules for The Commonwealth below. |
Vurilia had known every single person in that room. By the third official banquet, Vurilia secured a seat at the table. By recognizing the desires of Aggregate Aylathiya's rulers, it was simple to organize a new political party. The Aeternal Common Party was a religious order, quite common at the time, that represented the interest of Aggregate Aylathiya. It accumulated tremendous amounts of property and influence. Aggregate Aylathiya would have always tried for independence, but Vurilia played every card he had to make sure it would work. Yutira did not die in vain. Sydiah spent most of her time helping Vurilia, despite having forgotten her creations, she believed in their work. |
=== Ground Rules for a new Commonwealth (104585 CE) === |
* The Commonwealth must tend to its wounds, and set on tasks for mining planets, and gaining sufficient amounts of resources. |
* The Commonwealth must abandon many XGU superstitious laws and rules for the betterment of the empire. |
** This includes the forbidding of the act of terraforming celestial objects, a religious-centered government, over-expansionism, and the use of an 'X-Credit' |
* The Commonwealth must be peaceful or neutral unless provoked. In the event of a massive war, The Commonwealth must shift gears and develop spacecraft, and help allied nations, no matter how small. |
* The Commonwealth must gain the trust of smaller empires, and respect them rightfully so. This might include loaning small sectors for empires in need. |
* The Commonwealth is ordered to step down and take the 4th place seat in the Galactic Counsel. |
* The Commonwealth must not expand until all of these requirements are met. Any major gains in territory by any faction, corporation, or company must be taken back, or loaned to nearby empires. |
** This may cause complications with small Type II empires, which will have to be loaned their own space as a result of the major loan from earlier. |
* The Commonwealth is required to update all technology to the newest versions. This will cost a drastic amount of funding, and it will take centuries at worst. |
* As soon as these rules and requirements are met, The Commonwealth can expand, but not too far as to cause a massive amount of thinning. |
===Aylathiya's Ignominy & Independence=== |
=== Expansion (104602 CE) === |
With the appointment of Ohko as crowned princess mere weeks before Wren's death, Zaphenim grew enraged. He had used his sheer strength to ensure no slights ever happened against him, but against another angel his threats were far less effective. The other nobles knew this and unanimously agreed with the appointment. As Zaphenim lost influence over Ohko, he conspired with the other angels to stage a coup. He would get his most devout followers, which were essentially his worshipers at this point, and simply walk into the capitol, grab the crown, the declare himself Imperator. No one could stop him if the other angels took down Ohko and Mars would not be a problem. |
As soon as the requirements for the new rules were met, many parts of The Commonwealth expanded at once. They did stop at the expected levels, and they set up shop at their areas. All seemed well at this time period, as new colonists had a much bigger window that let them stay more grounded to their world. |
The coup was a disaster. Ohko, strengthened by Mars, could match Zaphenim. Furthermore, motivating the other angels proved difficult. This civilization was nothing like the one he ruled in the past. Where he was a deity. That is what the history books said, that Zaphenim ruled with such authority people thanked him for every breath. The coup failed, the angels fled, and Zaphenim lost most of his body. |
This process of setting up fortifications and cities, them moving on happened to be a huge profit. For a start, things like Dyson Swarms, and mass terraforming was given more time to expand in its area, as the companies who did it weren't rushed to take a claim in new territory. This was a major fault in the XGU, and it caused many companies to go bankrupt, or for some to split off and be deformed forever. |

Countless amounts of planets were developed much better as a result of this action. Higher quality planetary defense was initiated, quality of life on new worlds drastically increased, and population did, as well. In fact, the average population of an old XGU colony was about a few million. The newer Commonwealth ones had an upward of billions! A large difference, indeed. |
Eventually, The Commonwealth hit the edge of our universe. At around 183940 CE, the first self-sustainable colony was built at The Edge, and it would eventually be a huge pit stop for many incoming and outgoing travelers to other universes. This new colony was many millions of light years away from the main Commonwealth bubble, and it was a monumental achievement. Not only for The Commonwealth, but for a few other nations, like The Confederacy. |
=== The War for All (184367 CE) === |
The War for All had a substantial impact on Xa'Thin life. As soon as The Seekers invaded our home universe using crafty sneaking methods, every single empire had to act fast. Only within a few hundred years, territory that was far from the central core had to be disbanded, and its resources taken to help the war effort. New kinds of weapons that were completely unheard of had to be devised, and funds had to go straight to technology and military development. This caused The Commonwealth to shrink by about 9% within the first few centuries, and it helped the war effort quite well. Sadly, it didn't prevent The Seekers to bombard major Xa'Thin planets with the terrible dimensional-quaking bombs that The Seekers obtained. The war still crushed The Commonwealth, and it did worse for The Confederacy. Therefore, The Commonwealth had to give a huge sum of funds and technology to The Confederacy, dwindling the amount in The Commonwealth even more. These new times were trying, but most empires marched through the solemn conditions, and made it. |
=== The Second Golden Age (190000 CE) === |
Shortly after The War for All, a new age of discovery and technology was kickstarted from the Seekite remains. It was inevitably discovered that the remnants of ships, weapons, and buildings had advanced technology, with a soon-to-be great wonder. The devices found were described as large power cells, that could store unfathomable amounts of energy within them. How they worked was quite unknown, but re-assembling their molecules was shockingly simple. The result exponentially led to one of the greatest eras in Xa'Thin history. The aftermath of this discovery led Xa'Thin, Human, and Tloinin economies to recover quickly. Economy didn't stop there, though. Smaller nations became repaired in no time, and the larger ones kept improving, until elite lifestyle was the norm. The only downside was that C-Unit value went slightly down as a result of more people being able, and willing to buy more stocks. |
=== The Modern Commonwealth (200000 CE) === |
Today's Xa'Thin Commonwealth is very stable, and it is slowly expanding into new areas. It still follows these millennia-ages rules and laws, of course with new additions added in to the mix. The Commonwealth is currently trying to update technology by the clock, and is currently investing on better ways to extract energy and keep its economy at the top. There is currently no motivation to cause a rapid escalation of economy, or technology, which could cause a Code Purple between the CoH. As a result from the fear of war, The Commonwealth and its leaders decided to keep their economy at a low, as for no trade wars to occur. This calm escalation of economy is also very helpful for some smaller nations around The Commonwealth, as it increases trade attractiveness within them. |
=== Current Technology === |
Ever since the large slowing of technology in the year 50000 CE, it has still stuck with many nations to this day. But, as of 199938 CE, reports have spoken of a large exponential boom, or a sort of 'awakening' in technology. This implies that by the year 201000 CE, current technology will be primitive at best. By this exponential standard, it is safe to say that since 50000 CE, technology has only progressed by 10000 years. Still, it is quite a lot of progress. |
As of 200000 CE, many nations are reporting this exponential curve, and it seems like the expectations of reaching a type VII civilization is shortening by the year. |
=== Current Policies === |
As of 200000 CE, The Commonwealth has forbade the use of an HAI, or an OAI. There are many movements to get rid of sapient AI altogether, and only purpose them for working, cleaning, and ship management. This movement is widely unaccepted, but it isn't frowned upon, either. |
Why do Xa'Thins dislike HAI's or OAI's? Well, The Commonwealth and most of its inhabitants believe that The Shroud contains a nigh-infinite amount of power, and making even a proposed ZAI would not match current Shroud-Harvesting tech. |
Also another reason on why Xa'Thins don't use advanced AI's is that most Xa'Thins believe that robotic technology, or sapient robots are soulless. This reason has stuck with them even since The War for M110. We're looking at you, Shazaraks. |
==== Cybernetic Craze ==== |
Through the turn of the 200th millennium, many Xa'Thins have undergone internal cybernetic implants. The reasoning for this is to heighten psionic powers, decrease reaction time, and to be more intelligent. This new 'trend' is still quite mixed within the Xa'Thin community, and only a fraction (about 0.9%) have a significant amount of cybernetic implants within their bodies. |
The Cybernetic Craze has also allowed for psionic AI, who mimic soldiers perfectly. They have been proven to make an inconsequential amount of mistakes on the training grounds. As a result of this, they been approved for conventional and universal warfare. |

Greater Martial Consilium
9749 CE - Present
Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya
The Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya is a federal monarchy occupying all of Aggregate Aylathiya.
Government and Politics

History
End of the First Commonwealth
Post-Collapse
The Core Worlds Alliance
The resulting chaos shattered the Core World Alliances and many of its members. The resulting catastrophe, combined with the unrelated War of the Last Alliance in Florathel, crippled galactic trade.
Aurothiya
Aeternalism holds that six people throughout history were holy emanations of nature, avatars of the most divine called Angels. Both Sydiah and Kalliolel attempted to resurrect them, ending in catastrophic failure. Once again the galactic landscape was fundamentally different. The Dominion of Astraeus very much dominated Aylathiya. Indomitable in both military and economic might, there was little to be done against it. The nations of Aggregate Aylathiya became vassals one after the other. The last nation to hold out was the planet of Zushilo, maintaining its pride as the ancient center of Sedrua.
Commonwealth of Post-Sedruan States
Zaphenim's status as creator of humanity, which included the Bahattes, gradually took the spotlight from Sydiah. His raw power and deific status spawned entire religious movements such as Lux Father, Our Lord. Zaphenim used this influence to great effect, recruiting the various nations once part of Sedrua and beyond into a new nation. At the request of Yutira, it was to be named the Commonwealth of Post-Sedruan States.
It took a great deal of courage for every state in the Commonwealth to simultaneously reject vassalage. At the behest of Eleleth, they began rapidly arming. The narrative of an ancient deity coming to save the people of Sedrua proved compelling. Trillions began to think of themselves as "Sedruan."
War of the Ancients
Conquest of Aggregate Aylathiya
With the Commonwealth's army in ruins, generals and aristocrats throughout the Dominion rushed toward it to take as much territory as they could. Imperatrix Jezebel personally delineated who would get to control which territory, increasing the number of duchies by two times. While this certainly caused political instability, the creation of the Greater Martial Consilium assuaged the fears that Jezebel was getting too strong. Everyone with a noble title could vote in this assembly, creating the means for the various duchies to override unilateral imperial decrees. Offhandedly, Jezebel gave each of the angels a title to keep them content.
Aylathiya's Ignominy & Independence
