The Silky Way contains hundreds of billions of stars, most of which have never been sighted or visited by civilization. This article details each notable star within the galaxy, divided by Sector and Seed Cluster.

Anhooie

Type - Main Sequence (F9V)
Native Species - None

A fairly unremarkable star, Anhooie was thrust into prominence when the Tarasze refugees thrown from the remote Devore Cluster crashlanded on the jungle world of Tarash. The Tarasze made it their adoptive homeworld and built the enormous Tyran Empire, which became famous across the Vernarca Nebula for both its impressive projects and horrific atrocities. Tarash and most of the remaining population of the Anhooie System following the evacuation by Project Egress were destroyed in the Athos Supernova in 41 AC, and the system largely faded from relevance. Anhooie holds the K-class main sequence star Gorzarg in a tight binary configuration.

Planets - Pirek (destroyed), Tarash (destroyed), Amarius, Naranyx (destroyed)
Notable Moons - Mina (destroyed)
Companions - Gorzarg
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Tyran Free State)

Athos

Type - Neutron Star
Native Species - Saladi (critically endangered)

Athos was once a brilliant, highly evolved red supergiant home to a number of planets including Cela, the homeworld of the illustrious Saladi. Over the years, the depredations of the Tyran Empire ground down the Saladi to but a shadow of their former stature, culminating in the bombardment of Cela and the near extinction of their species in 133 BC. From this point, the Athos System faded from prominence beyond a useful energy source and the site of many habitats. Unfortunately, the Athos Supernova in 41 AC utterly destroyed the last of the ailing Empire including their adopted homeworld of Tarash and all its trillions of people. Today, Athos is nothing more than a neutronium cinder, spinning a few times a second and barely illuminating the fragments of its worlds.

Planets - Dratalov (destroyed), Fiem (destroyed), Cela (destroyed)
Companions - None
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Tyran Free State)

Audras

Type - Main Sequence Star (K2V)
Native Species - None

Audras is the secondary star of the Verda System, and is outshined in both luminosity and fame by its larger companion. Despite this, Audras also has many worlds important in their own right, including Anamol, the first "interstellar" colony world of the Alorath, and the frigid world of Lahor.

Planets - Horos, Admor, Iltaka/Tiraka, Von/Ora, Altos (circumbinary)
Notable Moons - Anamol, Dasrol, Maskal, Lahor
Companions - Verda, Taozora, Crouge
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Verdan Federation)

Gorzarg

Type - Main Sequence (K6V)
Native Species - None

Gorzarg is the smaller companion of Anhooie. The outer three worlds of the system, Tarash, Amarius, and Naranyx, all orbit the common barycenter of Gorzarg and Anhooie. Nothing directly orbits Gorzarg itself with the exception of a small vulcanoid belt which was disassembled to build stellar infrastructure. While the Athos Supernova ravaged the entire system, some have returned to the ruins and began to rebuild the megastructures.

Planets - Tarash (destroyed), Amarius, Naranyx (destroyed)
Notable Moons - Mina (destroyed)
Companions - Anhooie
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Tyran Free State)

Holias

Type - Main Sequence Star (G0V)
Native Species - Lrenn

The home star of the Lrenn species and parent of Erdath, Holias plays host to a very major syste to the Vernarcan Federation. Holias can be found near the edge of the Vernarca Nebula, close to the border of the Krask Hegemony, and this position made it the closest major system to the chaos of Falacian space and a stratigic position to protect during the Falacian Cold War.

Notable Moons - Flortan, Locor, Orata, Lorost, Meldoz
Companions - Hiril

Klein

Type - T-Tauri Star (M9V)
Native Species - None

Among the smallest stars in the Vernarcan Federation, Klein is a newborn star found near the Verda System. Its innermost world of Byfa was among the first true interstellar colonies of the Alorath, as well as the site of unofficial first contact with the Kesstra and first pleasant contact with the Verna after the V'Straki Incident. Later in history, Klein was the edge of occupied Federation territory at the height of the War of the Broken Bow, and the First Citizens' Fleet amassed here before the Terminus Invasion in 143.

National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Verdan Federation)

Lekna

Type - Main Sequence Star (M3.5V)
Native Species - Eanai

One of the oldest stars within the Vernarca Nebula, Lekna is a middling red dwarf near the border of the Vernarcan Federation and the Falacian Dominion. While physically unremarkable, its planet of Earen holds great historical importants across multiple eras of history. The system was completely sterile until the Ancient Builders seeded Earen with an engineered ecosystem as one of their greatest works, which eventually produced the Eanai species. The Falacian Dominion's Occupation of Earen resulted in great trauma to the inhabitants of the system, but their successful declaration of independence also broke the Yazera Pact, resulting in the Dominion's separation from that alliance.

National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (United Earen)

Narsekil

Type - Bright Giant (M5II)
Native Species - None
Planets - Erelit, Dhyse, Laruk, Isumal, Enalis
Notable Moons - Vadren
Companions - None
National Affiliations - Krask Hegemony

Quantis

Type - Main Sequence (K2V)
Native Species - Ravoryl, Bahnags

One of the most important stars in the Vernarcan Federation, Quantis is a small star with seven planetary companions, two of which are naturally habitable. The system is a major hub for economic activity in the Federation, and there is a strong shipbuilding industry centered around the outer gas giants. Both of the aforementioned habitable planets are home to two different civilisations which peacefully share the system, though this has not always been the case.

Notable Moons - Garayol, Jaxin, Geran, Daroa, Steyil
Companions - None

Starrial

Type - Main Sequence (F3.3V)
Native Species - Kuna'uashi

Starrial is the home star of the Kuna'uashi species and parent of Campura, one of the founding member worlds of the Vernarcan Federation. As such, the system holds great importance in the history of the Vernarca Nebula. At 1.9 billion years old, Starrial is approaching the end of its life, and great efforts are being made to ensure that it does not enter the red giant phase of its lifespan and destroy the inner system. The War of the Broken Bow caused severe infrastructural damage to the system and killed much of the population, but rebuilding is underway.

Notable Moons - TBA
Companions - None
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Campuran Coalition)

Taozora

Type - Brown Dwarf (L8)
Native Species - None

The third star in the Verda System, Taozora is barely visible in the skies of even Verda and Audras. Were it not within spitting distance of Teralla, it would go unremarked as one of hundreds of brown dwarfs within the Vernarca Nebula. The marginally habitable world of Vurana plays host to a number of refugee colonies, including of the Falaci fleeing from the chaos in their homelands.

Planets - Vurana, Velai, Makali
Notable Moons - Larr, Argas
Companions - Verda, Audras, Crouge
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Verdan Federation)

Verda

Type - Main Sequence Star (G8V)
Native Species - Alorath, Kesstra, Silik (extinct)

The primary star of the Verda System, Verda is located in the heart of the Vernarcan Federation and plays host to the interstellarly famous world of Teralla. Its many planets and habitats together host a population much greater than most star systems. Uniquely, Verda's systems have given birth to three sapient species: The Alorath, Kesstra, and Silik, although the latter have been extinct for almost a million years. Verda has been breached in war only once, in the existential War of the Broken Bow, and remains one of the highest quality of life areas in the known universe.

Planets - Moa, Praxis, Vijal, Jevethra, Teralla/Esera, Rellis, Glau, Nayeren, Volarus, Altos (circumbinary)
Notable Moons - Doresyl, Shirus, Sulpha, Liratan, Tarsis
Companions - Audras, Taozora, Crouge
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Verdan Federation)

Yazera

Type - Main Sequence (M4V)
Native Species - None

Physically, Yazera is an unremarkable red dwarf of the kind making up over 70% of the universe's star population. With only three planets and no major moons to speak of, Yazera is among the more desolate systems of the Vernarca Nebula. However, it was the site of the Yazera Pact's creation at the Sonagar Anchorage and subsequent meetings of the leaders of the allied nations for several decades afterwards.

Planets - Ekre, Saras, Alerak
Companions - None
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation (Verdan Federation)

Aesin

Type - Wolf-Rayet (WNh)
Native Species - None

TBA

Planets - None
Companions - Tavrin, Hele
National Affiliations - Aesin Neutral Zone

Brilliance

Type - Luminous Blue Variable
Native Species - None

At a monumental 167 solar masses and 350 solar radii, Brilliance is one of the largest stars within the Apple Nebula's Gemstone Cluster. Its luminosity of over three million standard luminosities makes it extremely valuable to the civilizations of the Apple Nebula, and until recently sat on the edge of the Aesin Neutral Zone. During the War of the Broken Bow, its enormous infrastructure complexes were successfully captured by the Vernarcan Federation, and its vast power was used to great effect against the fleets of Voidspears which assaulted the nebula as a whole from 147-150.

Planets - None
Companions - Myx
National Affiliations - Vernarcan Federation

Eson

Type - Main Sequence Star (O7V)
Native Species - None

A classic example of a massive star in the Gemstone Cluster, Eson can be found less than a light-year away from the much more impressive Brilliance. It currently sits on the main sequence, and will soon evolve into a Blue Supergiant, before becoming either a red supergiant or a wolf-rayet star like Aesin.

In 121 AC, the Void was on the Mesca System's doorstep, and the degraded Amali misused abandoned alien technology to pull the FSS Kareland and its flight group across the galaxy in an attempt to summon a great hero to save them. The Kareland crew successfully reverse-engineered the technology to move the planet itself nearly three thousand light-years to the Kenna System just in the nick of time, and the now-empty system was presumed destroyed shortly thereafter.
