Scope:Silky Way/Apple Nebula

Overview

The second setting of the Silky Way scope, the Apple Nebula was created by The Minmus Derp initially to provide a place some conflict for the Vernarca Nebula could come from, but quickly evolved into a setting all its own. Due in part to its connection with the Vernarca Nebula through the Szalana Wormhole, it is one of the two primary settings of the Silky Way, at least for now. At present, the Apple Nebula setting contains 26 pages.

How To Collaborate

Unlike the Vernarca Nebula, the Apple Nebula is much newer and therefore has more room for collaboration in the form of smaller to mid-sized nations, star systems, and worlds. The distant past is also much less nailed down. The Silky Way's general rules for collaboration, described in the Scope landing page, apply as usual. It is also acceptable to take an existing thing on the map that hasn't been expanded upon and do so, although asking The Minmus Derp first is necessary for such.

Setting

The Apple Nebula is the physically largest seed cluster within the Silky Way, and the nations within it can be substantially larger as well. While the Vernarca Nebula has only one nation the size of the Vernarcan Federation, the Apple Nebula contains five (the Sovereignty of Erorum, Empire of the Hand, Carremmat Ro'kasa, Vauratin Empire, and New Union of Xeriphas) each almost as large. The Vernarcan Federation also holds territory and influence within the Apple Nebula, resulting in many storylines which take place between both settings after the discovery of the Szalana Wormhole, including the War of the Broken Bow.

War of the Broken Bow – The climactic conflict between the Vernarcan Federation and allies and the Alliance of Five, and later them both against the Void.
Alliance of Five – A powerful and historically influential alliance between the Sovereignty of Erorum, Empire of the Hand, Carremmat Ro'kasa, Vauratin Empire, and New Union of Xeriphas, which began to dissolve in the latter days of the War of the Broken Bow.

Empire of the Hand and Sovereignty of Erorum – The last remaining members of the former Alliance of Five before its dissolution.
Vauratin Empire, Carremmat Ro'kasa, and New Union of Xeriphas – The other three members of the Alliance of Five, who left the group for various reasons between 145 and 148.
The Void – The greatest threat to the Apple Nebula's civilizations, first appearing in 147 AC.
Szalana Wormhole – The wormhole connecting the nebula to the Vernarca Nebula 90,000 light-years away.
