|Description=Dnn Bnfai is a white star in Zalanthium, under the primary collective claim of the Kessenski nations of [[Gypsum]]. Its planets are largely untouched, as most are unsuited for its dominant native species and even less so for its former owners. Once under the control of the Clahaalia who started the Cobalt Order, it has since fallen to the sole leadership of the fragmented nations of Gypsum, each of which has a motive for preventing extraplanetary colonies from at least one other.
Cosmoria contains a little over one hundred stars.
Stars
Aylathiya
Angreifer
Type - White Giant
Native Species - Orcubor, Ohmados
Angreifer is a large white star and stellar companion to Hearts. It is the third brightest star in Aylathiya and entertains several planets, megastructures, and civilizations. Its innermost planet, Gohbrin, is a world of molten silica. Despite this, it hosts the intelligent Orcubor species. Much farther from the star, the Ohmados thrive on Xadio. Angreifer has rarely known peace as dozens of civilizations waged war over its limitless plenty.
Currently, the Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya, one of the few powerful secular states in Aylathiya, holds dominion over the outer system, particularly its provinces of Avolast and Nallanthiya. Gohbrin and Tadadore remain ruled by the Gohbrin Global Ministry, an associate of the Greater Martial Consilium. Both the Commonwealth and the Consilium routinely intervene to prevent conflict between their component states.
Argothiya is a medium-sized star known for its importance in the history of Celathiya and the wider Core Worlds Alliance. Home to both the Viphians and Timporians, every world orbiting this star hosts an ecosystem of some sort. The gas giant of Vossen serves as the capital of the Commonwealth of United Economic Nations, the planet sporting an immense double ring structure. Between the rings are vast counter-rotating cylinders that supply a great deal of living area.
Arlioux is a medium-sized star best known for the large clouds of dust that orbit it. Astronomers from across Aylathiya made note of Arlioux's regular anomalous dimming. The clouds of dust represent a valuable store of resources, but interference from its planets keeps the dust diffuse. While once dominated by only Humans, the system has become quite diverse. Currently, the Confederacy of Borealis and Lowyzyol vye for influence over Arlioux's four worlds.
Arlioux's dust clouds represent one of the most expansive Spaceborne ecosystems in Cosmoria. Low in harmful radiation but well-lit enough for photosynthesis, Arlioux has nearly perfect conditions for life. Over a percent of the mass orbiting Arlioux is organic material. Space stations around Arlioux need to regularly clean their surfaces or risk damage as metal-hungry microbes devour their hauls. Consequently, most industry and population centers hug Arlioux, where spaceborne life cannot thrive.
Planets - Thalsiedeln, Klepse, Thanatos, Ivotsh
Byutix
Type - Red Dwarf
Native Species - None
Byutix is a small highly-unstable red dwarf that accompanies Helyar. The violent star somewhat regularly emits vast flares that have destroyed all but the most distant of its planets. The system is full of debris from these worlds that has coalesced into a diffuse disk. One such flare was so powerful that it destroyed the atmosphere of the planet Shosturan around Helyar. The event inspired Rubedism.
Planets - Simud, Heuser, Orethus, Delkash
Companions - Helyar
Dorok
Type - Red Dwarf (M9V)
Native Species - None
Dorok, known to the Un'oit as Elegy, is an ultra-cool red dwarf that numbers amongst the smallest stars in Cosmoria. It distantly orbits the black hole of Nocturne beyond its many planets and hosts the planet Garrea, capital of the furthest member of the United Nations of Florathel. After the final destruction of Pecay-Po in 8042, the few remaining Elkeres fled Valme, only to be pushed away by almost every other civilization. Their only choice was Dorok, found at the edge of the borders of Florenta. The Elkeres made their home into a new Florentan province before gaining independence and then being taken by Sagittarium. Today, Mandras has finally gained independence for good as an associate state of Sagittarium and has taken great pains to lift its population out of their cripplingly poor quality of life. As it is also a high-ranking member of the UNF, Mandras is punching well above its weight and rapidly becoming among the most influential states in its region.
Native Species - Atlins, Kristals, Kshi, Loresavts, Civese, Luxscions
Eos is an ultra-low-mass Red Dwarf and one of the least massive stars in Cosmoria. The star would be utterly unremarkable were it not for the absurdly large megastructure located around it. Technically orbiting this structure, Eos and its disk have been an incredibly important part of history, with nearly every major empire in the history of Aylathiya having some claim over the structure. It predates even Zaphenim and the First Aeternal Society. The most likely candidate for its construction is the state of Hyperion within the Lareas Alliance. Eos is mostly controlled by the Greater Martial Consilium whose capital, Enyo, is the structure's most populous city. Several planets orbit the disk, but are usually considered to be satellites of the star by convention.
Eylanse is a red dwarf star that was the center of Sedrua for most of its history. It had been inhabited on and off many times by various civilizations in Aylathiya, making its artifacts quite cosmopolitan. After the fall of Sedrua, the star became a stronghold for the federal government of the Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya but, due to fears of a resurgent Sedrua, has no independence. The component states of the Commonwealth each have business in the system. The native Bahattes are unable to create a state for themselves after their millennia at the top of Aylathiya.
Planets - Qhet, Zushilo, Oloro, Varot
Finale
Type - Yellow Dwarf
Native Species - None
Finale is a medium-sized star orbiting the black hole of Nocturne. Its most distant satellite, Finale has always been the most independent of the systems under the control of Sagittarium. Despite being so remote, the star has only retained its three closest planets, a series of terrestrial worlds whose population represents over an eighth of all of Sagittarium's people. Despite the relatively small populous, Finale hosts more of Sagittarium's industry than all other stars save for Nocturne itself. The system hosts a large Ekrosian and Vlanoan population who make up the self-ruling republic known as Rendell. Other nations in the system are protectorates of Sagittarium, colonies, or the personal property of nobles who often act with little oversight. Economically-productive regions are ruled directly from Thalia.
Planets - Patyrth, Vistique, Sarpanitum
Gira Gira
Type - Unclassified
Native Species - Molkor
Gira Gira is a large unclassified star located at the heart of Aylathiya. Gira Gira swallowed a neutron star several million years ago, dramatically reducing its lifespan. Extensive infrastructure keeps its death at bay, supporting the hollowed-out star against the immense pull of its core. Numerous civilizations have laid claim to Aylathiya's largest star, each one contributing to the web of rings around it. One such structure is the Phaethon system responsible for maintaining the Eos megastructure. The innermost planet orbits within the star, its dim parent not even having the energy to destroy it.
The zombie of a star hosts fitting inhabitants, the Marred Life. As Ma'eau warred against itself, it spawned these unique organisms. The Marred Life have a large number of strange properties usually associated with decay. In fact, one could think of this form of life as constantly in a state of decomposition. The Marred Molkor species rules the inner portion of the system.
Gira Gira is valuable for the high concentration of heavy metals around it, but also the abnormally high levels of the element Orichalcum. Gira Gira has changed hands many times and currently has no controller by treaty. Despite this, bases from the Confederacy of Borealis, Quintet Payotari Association, and the Occult Galaxy Project can be found around the star. As for native civilizations, DELYATU and the Vespanic Order call the system home.
Planets - Elisa, Taek, Hathia, Onaud
Hearts
Type - White Dwarf
Native Species - None
Hearts is the white dwarf binary twin of Angreifer, its name deriving from the ancient religion of the Ohmados. They believed that the small body becoming visible in the night sky represented a change in heart of their patron deity. In the past, it possessed an impressive accretion disk and may have triggered several novae, described by the nearby Ohmados as divine judgement forced them underground for months at a time. Currently, the Poratus megastructure exists around Hearts, a sort of Recurrent Nova Engine that not only shields nearby worlds, but also gathers much of the power released by Hearts. Every Ohmado nation, the Quintet Payotari Alliance, and the Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya lay claim to portions of the megastructure.
Helyar is the orange dwarf binary twin of Byutix. Despite interference from Byutix, Helyar maintains a respectable number of planets that are remarkably close to each other. Helyar had historically been an immensely important system; worlds within it have been the capital of interstellar empires several times. Most of the infrastructure built during those periods has fallen into disrepair however, as the system lost all of its power. Currently, the Kyan Commonwealth claims most of Helyar, with outposts from the Confederacy of Borealis and Thulcandria making up most of the rest of the population.
L'Starte represents the origin point of nearly all life in Aylathiya in some way or another. Being home system of Ma'eau, it has the most diverse and robust ecosystems in all of Cosmoria. The ecosystems are on L'Starte's worlds are capable of large scale organization and self-management. L'Starte is divided between the nation of Naidaro and the Duchy of Royer.
Matoehdahn is a red dwarf star that, despite its small size, has been starkly divided for much of its history. The Arkhosian species did not unite before entering their space age, nations opting to advance on their own. After some time, the Arkhosian Order and the United Provinces were the two major players in the system. With the construction of a Dyson Swarm well under way, these two powers, and their vast cohorts of vassals, would continually compete as they expanded beyond their home system. Sedrua would conquer both nations after some time. Even after the collapse of Sedrua, it remained a colony of Sedrua's successors for thousands of years. The system is currently a part of the nation of Arkholst, a member of the Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya.
As for physical properties, the star has more usable territory than most systems its size. The small planet of Hitogawari was harvested over thousands of years by the Order, and the moon of Stetsett by the United Provinces. Both worlds would contribute to a massive Dyson Swarm that remains mostly intact. A brief period of stellar-level Kessler Syndrome, that is the creation of a deadly cloud of space junk that makes travel impossible, tore up many of the habitats. To this day, a fine dust surrounds the star in a sphere.
Planets - Raelka, Bellataine, Sakijast, K'Strelk
Mili
Type - Luminous Unclassified Star
Native Species - None
Mili is a unique giant star and the brightest in Aylathiya after Gira Gira. It shines in such a way that, in the night sky, the faintest hint of green could be seen, so faint that one has to essentially convince themselves its there to see it. Mili has a powerful magnetic field and a heliosphere that encompasses its "binary" twin of Medb. Mili has a great deal of infrastructure around it that gives it about a tenth as much living space as Eos. The star has very few planets of its own.
Planets - Ethiu, Frechtlect
Companions - Medb
Nocturne
Type - Nocturne
Native Species - None
Nocturne is a large black hole straddling the boundary between Aylathiya and Florathel. Its large gravity allows it to entertain four stellar companions: Requiem, Finale, Overture, and Elegy. The black hole additionally hosts over a dozen frigid worlds . Nocturne has been an untamed wilderness for most of its history, far too large to ever be exploited to its full extent. Once the nation of Sagittarium formed, however, the system had finally become united under a single ruler. This brief period of stability was replaced by a confederation of nobles who ruled their various domains with little oversight. In addition to Sagittarium, Mandras, Erayadan and Collegium Aurum control various territories within the Nocturne system.
Nocturne has a wide array of unusual properties that have defined its civilizations. During the days of the Oberherr League, a number of Overlords called the body home. With the arrival of Zaphenim, nearly all of them were destroyed. Cleansed of all Overlords but Laborosoarchod, Nocturne became inhabited by some of the earliest Human populations outside of their home system. The last ancient Overlord would rear its head shortly after Sagittarium's founding. The chaos from the resulting conflict ended with Laborosoarchod cast into Nocturne. To this day, the being contorts spacetime in an attempt to escape, releasing Nocturne's now famous gravitational radiation. Currently, it is this radiation that powers not only Sagittarium's but the entire system's economy.
Oratorio is the youngest star in Aylathiya, having only just begun fusion thirty thousand years before the present day. Even so, it has retained the protoplanetary disk that itself is only 500,000 years old. Extensive tampering by Ma'eau, including the strategic placement of shepherd planets, prevents the disk from collapsing into new planets. Since protoplanetary disks are quite dense, it has allowed for Ma'eau to introduce a diverse spaceborne ecosystem. Oratorio's worlds universally have low gravity, giving the Un'oit easy access to their neighboring worlds. Since they were able to tame much of the spaceborne life in the disk, they resided within a low-tech space-faring civilization that persists in some areas to this day. Overture is one of Nocturne's four stellar companions.
Planets - Partita, Capriccio, Sinfonia
Requiem
Type - Red Dwarf
Native Species - None
Requiem is a small star orbiting the massive black hole Nocturne. It is dominated by a large spinning ring-like structure that is made up of the planets it once hosted. While Sagittarium finished the structure, it was built over tens of thousands of years by previous civilizations. It is often compared to Eos, a star system with a fairly similar configuration.
Planets - None
Sakase
Type - Red Dwarf
Native Species - Zythyns
Sakase is a major system for Lowzyol and Aylathiya broadly. As one of the nodes along the Anemoi Line, the system has always hosted great ports and a high population. The Zythyns, however, were only involved in this trade as Sedrua rose to power. Before then, they were simply ignored. Worlds such as Vode served the primary purpose of trade. Most bodies have layered artifacts dating back thousands of years as different civilizations rose and fell. Consequently, the system is quite resource poor, forcing its inhabitants to rely on imports. The gathering of cheap resources has been a major force behind Lowyzol's expansion.
Planets - Fira, Hotra, Vode, Lokira, Rania, Kolak, Ziarus, Elora
Tryvya
Type - Red Dwarf
Native Species - None
Tryvya is a small red dwarf with only a single planet, the world of Ommekha. The system is free of dust and comets and all asteroids orbit in perfect resonance. As for its one world, it is perfectly smooth, spherical, and has a consistent density. It is made up of ultra-clear quartz. Standing on the planet, one would be able to see all the way into its mantle, giving it a faint orange glow. Tryvya has much in common with its one satellite; it is perfectly round, does not spin, and is free of metal. Tryvya has been this way since antiquity, even the current government, the Holy Kritarchy, spends inordinate amounts on preserving Tryvya's perfect star system.
Planets - Ommekha
Waimarrin
Type - Red Subgiant
Native Species - Ror Units
Waimarrin is an ancient star system, not in the sense that its star is any older than normal, but in the sense that its hosted civilization for the longest. Home to some of the oldest civilizations in Aylathiya's history, Waimarrin is quite low in resources common to other places. Hyperion had a large presense in this system, explaining the planet of D'Naevium which they inadvertantly destroyed toward the end of their existence. Since then, over a dozen civilizations called Waimarrin home, from the traveling monastic Rorran orders to the modern Alkan Intendancy.
Planets - D'Nion, D'Naevium, Eltaque, Roure
Ynnud
Type - Blue Dwarf
Native Species - None
Ynnud is a very small hydrogen-poor star that appears billions of years older than its actual age. It formed in a region so devoid of hydrogen that it almost immediately began fusing helium in its core, giving the star its unusual spectrum. Ynnud was important throughout the history of Aylathiya as the system changed hands many times in history. Currently, it is administered by many of the nations that once laid claim to it and several home-grown civilizations.
Planets - Petra, Tchruv, Tloinin
Azurullya
Aurumios
Type - Black Hole
Native Species - TBA
Aurumios Laeschaude is a large system that gravitationally dominates the center of Azurullya. Within its center lies the titanic Aurumios, a black hole bested by none in mass. The heaviest individual object in Cosmoria, except for perhaps Nocturne, Aurumios is accompanied by over 100 satellites, nine of which being co-orbiting stars.

Axilarys
Type - Yellow Dwarf
Native Species - TBA
Axilarys is a fairly unassuming star. It is developing into a new center of opportunity.
Cupruor is theoretically a B-tpe blue subdwarf star containing immense copper impurities. Its unique spectrum grants it a unique cyan-indigo color gradient formed from its aberrant magnetic fields. It orbits the Aurumios black hole.
Planets - None
Dexotrau
Type - Unclassified
Native Species - None
Dexotrau is a star permanently locked in the state of a supernova. Despite having temperatures well in excess of one billion degrees kelvin, the star has yet to fly apart. Its worlds seem somehow both locked in time and malleable, refusing to reform from the shocks but still burgeoning with motion.
Estrebyss does not seem to be classifiable. Its size, color, and luminosity are inconsistent, and yet very rarely conform to any model. Needless to say, the shell of irradiated matter it props up around itself is also impenetrable. A truly divine horror of a star.

Tryptan
Type - Unclassified Star
Native Species -
Tryptan is Azurullya's greatest collection of hypertryptine, a spacetime-conducive crystal essential to much Azurulleyan technology. The density of hypertryptine within Tryptan creates an immense effect of temporal dilation. In the 4000 years that have passed since settlers first landed on its sole planet Herlacyning, they have experienced one day of time.

Florathel
Andekai
Type - Yellow Dwarf (G4V)
Native Species - Erkamar
Andekai, as one of the larger stars in Cosmoria, holds a truly enormous system of planets and stars within its gravitational grasp. From the tightly orbiting secondary star of Okamar to its system of five planets to the distantly orbiting Vespira and Erinor. The Erkamar species sprang from the inner world of Alshaza (today known as Elsessa) and began to spread across Florathel. After thousands of years, many distant rulers and the death of Alshaza, the Akradax Collective finally gained independence for the Erkamar for the first time since before the Dark Times. Today, the reclaimation of Elsessa is underway and the Collective remains among the most powerful nations of Florathel.
Frealee is the central star of the Frealee System, and home to nine major planets and hundreds of smaller objects. As an F-class star of 1.9 billion years of age, the star does not have long to live, and is beginning to expand into a red giant, which will destroy much of the inner system. As such, there are projects by Illuin, Marakat and the United Nations of Florathel to remove chunks of mass from the star and prevent this from happening. Its planets Tarbla, Darvikus, and Morli each have deep historical import across Florathel. Darvikus and Morli's moon Artaclate are both capitals of their respective nations. The distant planets of Turizel and Thalos are also home to the small military dictatorship of Kandor.
Native Species - Kasan, Taya, Alkai Norlins (Extinct)
Among the most massive single objects in Cosmoria, the Heart of Providence is a vast black hole sitting at the center of Florathel. Its gravity allows it to maintain the star Varona as well as a number of brown dwarfs and dark rogue planets in a direct orbit around it. The chaos of the Heart's violent accretion disk and other celestial phenomena made the system largely impossible to traverse for most of recorded history until the common era, when the previously isolated states within the system finally made contact with each other. This kicked off a series of events which culminated in the formation of the Providence Union, the most powerful empire in the history of Florathel since the Lareas Alliance. Although the Union fell in the War of the Last Alliance, its successor states later formed the United Nations of Florathel in an effort to curb more violence like the War of Saiheran Succession. Today, the Heart is the site of Centerpoint Station, the seat of government of the UNF, alongside several other important megastructures.
Jatras, found in the Andred System, is one of the few stars to exist in a tight binary in Cosmoria. Its binary companion Idrana is in fact a T-type Brown Dwarf, heated above its normal blackbody temperature by the proximity of Jatras itself. Found within the system is the binary planets Tancred and Cluelflai, which each serve as capitals of Rezacrad and Corelnas respectively. Kaurim controls a small part of the system centered around the moon of Erka orbiting the outermost planet.
The Andred System has been ravaged with war across its long history, resulting in the replacement of most of its natural asteroid fields with vast clouds of debris of ancient megastructures.
Lyak is among the largest stars in Florathel, and hosts an expansive planetary system. Uniquely among the stars of Cosmoria, Lyak's innermost four planets are all gas giants, with the innermost rocky planet of Selaga at the inner edge of the habitable zone. The Lyak System is mostly controlled by three nations, Khela, Trezhath, and the Theocracy of Yaztas, from Selaga, Thalasir, and the moons of Artas respectively. The outermost planet of Varlac was declared a dangerous exclusion zone after the Destruction of Morlac in the War of Saiheran Succession.
Maea is the secondary star of the Cnara System and the parent star of Carlea. The system is very metal-rich, allowing its denizens to build enormous megastructures across the system. As a red dwarf, Maea has hundreds of billions of years left to live, and its system is packed very close to it. Its planet Carlea is one of the twin capitals of Illuin, founding member of the United Nations of Florathel.
Okamar is a K-class orange dwarf orbiting in close proximity to Andekai, and every planet in the system orbits their common barycenter. Okamar's increasing flare activity likely played a role in the climate catastrophe on Elsessa.
Raea is the primary star of the Cnara System, one of the most prominent political locations of Cosmoria. As a red giant, it has consumed the innermost of its planets, scorching the once habitable worlds of Coros, Trada, and Kralean. The ice world of Saleas has begun to thaw, revealing the Salakela in the oceans beneath and freeing them to spread through the stars, going on to play a pivotal role in the War of the Last Alliance and collapse of the Providence Union. Today, Saleas is the centerpiece of Saw-Yos, a powerful nation in Florathel.
Valme is a red dwarf known for its deep ties to Aylathiya. Having been a colony of Sagittarium until recently, the system remains culturally and politically distinct. Following the genocide of Pecay-Po, Valme was left derelict. Its ancient great cities had been largely depopulated, allowing Sagittarium to lay claim to the system. The nation established semi-autonomous Thalvett after over a millennium of direct rule. After several failed attempts to expand beyond Valme, Sagittarium freed its colony after the War of the Ancients. To this day, most of the population of the Valme system is Thalian. Valme hosts three major worlds, including a tremendously valuable gas giant whose rings are made up mostly of the remains of Valme's former inhabitants.
Varona is a low-mass star orbiting 212 AU from the Heart of Providence. It's close orbit around this enormous object means that its sole planet, Taro Nor, is in a somewhat chaotic orbit around the star, causing its moons to have wildly fluctuating climates over history. Due to the fluctuating gravitational forces, any other planets in the system were thrown into each other, Taro Nor, Varona itself, or ejected into space, resulting in enormous clouds of dust orbiting the star accompanied by a number of tiny dwarf planets and asteroids. Varona was for a relatively brief time in history the political center of Florathel as the site of the capital of the Providence Union before the War of the Last Alliance. Today, the star has been mostly depopulated by the ravages of history.
Vespira is among the smallest of stars in Cosmoria. Barely clinging to the edges of the Andekai System, its comparatively miniscule gravity tethers a tiny, tightly packed system of two planets spinning as close as they can get to the star, their surfaces home to life adapted to the cold red glare. The twin worlds, Frolira and Tuar, are both home to intelligent species, which have fought together across history and now jointly lead the nation of Seldrin-Darusa from above their dim ember.

Suryalo
Type - White Dwarf
Native Species - Revacens
Suryalo was a large yellow-white star that had since become a White Dwarf. At the end of its life, it swallowed many of its worlds, leaving behind only three. Despite this, the Revacens were able to evolve on Arec.
Planets - Arec
Zalanthium
Auleial
Type - Orange Dwarf (K5V)
Native Species - Lumeirri, Ao'kami, Qathrlt
Auleial has an ultra-abundance of life, with each of its planets hosting natives of some sort. This situation spawned three independently-evolved intelligent species, the most of any system in Cosmoria. While having a tumultuous past, the three sister-species have formed the Auleial Interplanetary Union. This state governs the system's many worlds, the megastructures that dim the star's light, and the people's scattered space habitats.
Cammrien is a white main sequence star under the governance of the Greater Celestial Concord of Zalanthium. Its most populated world, Artura, split off from the Concord thousands of years ago and has since gone through a series of incredible hardships that changed the system forever. Many of its worlds are damaged from extensive mining for rare metals, and its asteroid belt has been significantly reduced in the roughly four thousands years it was separate from the Concord.
Dnn Bnfai is a white star in Zalanthium, under the primary collective claim of the Kessenski nations of Gypsum.
Hwrett is an orange dwarf with few planets but many minor planets. The star has a conventional asteroid belt orbiting beyond Crimwol which slowly transitions toward a more icy belt as volatiles become more common. At the edge of this icy belt lies the ice giant of Therone. This planet orbits distantly Hwrett; its sphere of influence sweeps across the great asteroid field, forever preventing it from coagulating into new planets. The Tannjens are the most populous group around Hwrett and its only native intelligent species. Most of them live scatterd across its large belt, with the rest concentrated on their home world of Crimwol.
Planets - Alchemilla, Crimwol, Therone

Imhotep is a neutron star in Zalanthium, a stellar remnant with extreme magnetic fields and two planets locked in a horseshoe orbit with one another.
Planets - Baldr, Bacchus
Obsidian
Type - Black Hole
Native Species - None
The first star in the universe to die, a former massive blue giant known only to Azurade as Tezcatlipoca. Its former system was blown away in its supernova, and its current planet is artificial. Quiet, dark, and blacker than the void beyond Cosmoria, Obsidian serves as the longest-standing stellar remnant. Its planet Atlahua is said to be made of Azurade's tears.
Planets - Atlahua
Notable Moons - Meztli
Zeiropont
Type - White Main Sequence Star (A9V)
Native Species - None
Zeiropont as a system has been used and abused by multi-stellar nations many times throughout its long history. First settled and established as a colony by the Lareas Alliance, it has changed hands several times and now serves as the largest importer of prisoners throughout all of Zalanthium. Its planet Lothwiel is host to the vile Nebula Gauntlet, an endless prison-game free for all captured and shuttled off as entertainment.
Tegerelis was once a shining red supergiant floating far beyond the main cluster of Cosmoria and even the distant stars of Lumira. A burning orange beacon in the endless black beyond the stars, Tegerelis was used as a universal reference point by many civilizations in antiquity. The moon of Sethri was home to the Scargass, an ancient species which rose to form the nation of Aldyren-Sanaka, the single most remote nation in the entire history of Cosmoria. But the glory days of this beautiful nation abruptly ended as Tegerelis' sputtering core finally gave out and the star went supernova. Visible in the daytime sky across the universe, this explosion blasted the entire system into superheated, rareified dust as the remains of the core collapsed into a neutron star not the size of a city, its powerful magnetic beams spinning past an observer thousands of times in the blink of an eye. The only survivors of Aldyren-Sanaka were the lucky million who made it onto starships rushing out of the system within a hair of the speed of light. For everyone else, at least it ended quickly
Saihera is home to the most remote modern nation, Sarepha, ruling its domain from the Sun Throne on Dimostah. After the Scargass fled their unimaginably distant home across the unending void, they arrived here after thousands of years, remaking the dead world of Dimostah in the image of their homeworld destroyed millennia before. Aldyren-Sanaka was rebuilt under the light of a new sun, taking the name Sarepha. Being much, much closer to Cosmoria proper, the new Sarepha had a chance to make contact with the civilizations there, establishing trade routes with the Providence Union and its successor states. When King Oram died, the status quo shattered as the squabbling heirs drew in the nations of Florathel with their preexisting alliances to the War of Saiheran Succession, which would leave trillions dead and be one of the most lethal wars in recent memory. Today, Sarepha is a founding member of the United Nations of Florathel, with a much more robust succession system.
Xeros stands alone against the void, shrouded against its bitter cold in the machines of an ancient civilization. Inhabited since time immemorial by the Oralat, Xeros' many planets have long since been reduced to raw materials and used to assemble one of the largest megastructures the universe has ever seen. Darakett, the adopted homeworld of the Oralat, is the only planet of the inner system remaining and is home to the few living flesh-and-blood members of the species. Beyond the edge of the Gannet Matrioshka, deep in the rareified cometary cloud, lies the distant planet Toralaskis, home to a colony sent from Artaclate thousands of years ago.
Directly orbiting the Heart of Providence, the brown dwarf Apricot is barely more than a planet, but since it barely fuses enough to emit the dimmest of infrared emissions, its satellites are planets in their own right. Illuminated solely by the burning blue-white glare of the shredded, superheated corpses of long-dead stars spinning around the Heart, the planets Azavante and Kavira are the two closest inhabited natural bodies to the black hole. The tiny system is split between Illuin and Saw-Yos.
Erinor is an unlikely place to find the first civilization. Over nine million years before any other, the Moridian High Command claimed this lonely world before facing destruction. Today, Erinor has passed through the hands of many a civilization, ranging from the nearby Akradax Collective, the uncaring Providence Union, and its modern guardians, Seldrin-Darusa. Its sole planet primarily serves as an impressive archaeological site, with the systems population thriving in great space stations assembled from its vast debris disk.
Idrana is the secondary companion of the Andred System, alongside the much larger star Jatras. Its gravitational influence caused ripples in the system's protoplanetary disk, slowing planetary formation and stunting the growth of its four inner worlds. Idrana's surface is heated beyond its normal blackbody temperature by its proximity to Jatras, causing it to have a clear day and night side and making it utterly unique among stellar objects.
The Brown Dwarf Medb is technically the binary twin of Mili, but since the body has never undergone fusion, it is relegated to the Brown Dwarf category. Despite its status, Medb was still able to sustain a thriving ecosystem around one of the moons of its only planet, Tuirne. The moon of Eithlinn gave rise to the Dotsk species, whose exploits allowed them to create Dotskgard. This fortress nation of trillions has resisted nearly all attempts at conquest. The ancient state had created a vast fusion array powered by the readily-available gas Medb contains.
Polinia is a tiny, icebound planet floating in interstellar space unbound from any star. Barely bright enough to be more than another star in the sky, the nearest star to the planet is the tight binary of Jatras and Idrana making up the Andred System. Beneath its thick icy crust, Polinia exhibits a liquid ocean over sixty kilometers deep, the low gravity preventing this from reaching the crushing pressures normally expected and allowing life to thrive and evolve at the countless hydrothermal vents found here. The Kaurid species that evolved beneath this ice eventually broke through it and expanded throught the planet's region of interstellar space, even into the outer reaches of the Andred System. After the War of the Last Alliance, Polinia became the capital of Kaurim, a major state in Florathel, becoming a founding member of the United Nations of Florathel after the War of Saiheran Succession.
Ferrinai was once the premier resource harvesting site of the Providence Union and Akradax Collective, depending on whose flag wasn't knocked down at any given time. Great mirrored megastructures built to focus power and light from the distant stars hundreds of billions of kilometers away onto the small mining colonies, until disaster struck. The latest attack on the planet in the 6500s CE shortly before the Pecay-Po Genocide resulted in the destruction of the fragile mirrors. Their wafer-thin surfaces fragmented into tiny shards of metallic glass, whirling around the darkened planet and shredding any ship that dared approach. While the Ferrinai catastrophe caused a tragic loss of life, it did have the side effect of forcing a resolution to the dispute and ending centuries of hostilities between the two nations.
Vadria is a large, icy rogue planet that can be found just outside the Andekai System and Inielus. Discovered by the Providence Union in 5433 CE, it spent most of its history either within the borders of the Providence Union or in the Akradax-Providence Neutral Zone separating the two nations. After the Treaty of Vadria in 8022 CE, the Neutral Zone ceased to be, and its population rose as exploitation of its resources became easier. With the secession of Seldrin-Darusa, that nation became the primary caretaker of Vadria, and remained so until Kandor took the planet from it during the War of Saiheran Succession.
Cryza, unlike most other planets populated by the Varkas Tribes, is not hidden within the Lux Aeterna. It can be found just beyond its borders, near the dividing line between Florathel and Zalanthium, and is the primary route through which traders enter their territory. Small squadrons of Varkas craft operated by the Sobora tribe usually escort foreign spacecraft into the Aeterna, before handing the ships off to the protection of the planetary shield at Varkor, where they can continue between planets in much the same manner. Despite being of comparatively lesser importance to the many Varkas Tribes, it is the most well-known of their holdings to the outside world.
Varkor is a large gas giant floating in an artificially blown stable space within the Lux Aeterna. One of its moons, Arkaelo, is the closest thing the peoples of the Varkas Tribes have to a capital, where representatives of each tribe meet at regular intervals. Its vast number of spherical moons were collected from parts unknown across the galaxy over eons of history, and a megastructure was built around the planet to help make the space it travels through clear of the Lux Aeterna's famous corrosiveness. Varkor and other rogue worlds claimed by tribes of the Varkas culture are unique in that they can travel under their own power, with enormous fusion engines suspended in the atmosphere firing torches of ionized planetary matter thousands of kilometers into space at relativistic speeds pushing the planet and its companions through space.
Volfare is the second oldest of the wandering worlds of the Varkas Tribes. Alongside its companions, Volfare swims through the corrosive environment of the Lux Aeterna, shielded by an enormously upscaled form of a unique Varkas-made technology built into orbital rings above its atmosphere. The planets of the Varkas fled into the Aeterna with the military forces of the Providence Union hot on their heels, and Volfare was the last to escape, with much of its population killed before the enemy fleet was forced to turn back. Today, it has been maneuvered into position near the Aylathiyan terminus of the Aeternal Trade Lines operated by the Varkas tribes.
Aiah is cold. Very cold. Not even warmed by the distant light of the many suns of Cosmoria, Aiah has floated through the dead void almost since time began. Unique patterns etched on the icy surface forever fluctuate, almost attaining lifelike properties. Although it was likely encountered by the Tegerelis Exodus Fleet thousands of years prior near the end of their long journey, Aiah was only discovered by modern Sarepha shortly prior to the War of Saiheran Succession, where Princess Zelera Atherian made her hideout. Her forces maintained this base until Princess Kalea Atherian surprise-attacked it by allowing her fleet to free-fly for several weeks towards the planet at low power to minimise warning. Zelera managed to flee, but all three were summoned to Dimostah for the final duel during the Truce of Suloom. After the war, Aiah is simply a historical location of some scientific curiosity.
Amarent is an anomaly of a world that is currently poorly-understood. Dating methods consistently return an age far too old to be composed of the heavy elements it is. With a unique core made up almost entirely of lead, the planet has a weak magnetic field that does little to protect it from the punishing radiation of interstellar space. Amarent has been under the control of Sedrua since it was first discovered, but is currently not claimed by any one nation. Even so, forces from the Commonwealth of Aggregate Aylathiya occupy much of the world and often engage in conflict with forces from the Cabal of Amaranth Truth and the Church of the Fae Queen.
Amarent has a high concentration of Amaranth energy throughout it, a force believed by many to pervade all of reality. This results in the space around the planet being both highly unstable and highly dangerous. The result is the manifestation of Ambrosian Remnants, fragments of a story that adherents to many religions obsessively piece together. Many of these remnants are physical objects, relics, or even records that describe civilizations that have never existed. Other remnants are spatial or temporal anomalies that temporarily induce hallucinations in any nearby intelligent organism, usually describing important, if not fictional, events.
