The Ervo Sector is the common designation for a region of The Silky Way's ring, spanning roughly one 26th of that structure. It is adjacent to the Kardesh Sector, Vidaea Sector towards the core, and the Gammu Sector.
In modern interstellar politics and diplomacy, the great powers of the Ervo Sector are the Vernarcan Federation, Falacian Dominion (prior to its collapse into civil war), and Thelsan Assembly. Other powers, while smaller, had effects in their local area. The Ervo Sector remains largely unexplored by the Vernarcan Federation due to its sheer size.
The Szalana Wormhole connects the Eodis System to the distant Apple Nebula on the far side of the galactic ring, in the Hinthorn Sector. Use of this wormhole by the Ervo Sector powers led to hostility by those living on the other side, culminating in the War of the Broken Bow in 138 AC.
Seed Clusters
The primary seed cluster within which most contacted civilizations in the region reside is that within and around the Vernarca Nebula. This cluster is very large, extending outwards by almost 40 light-years, and contains such nations as the Vernarcan Federation, Falacian Dominion, Thelsan Assembly and the many successor states of the Tyran Empire. This region is populated by a number of massive stars, including Kerillis, Vernarca, and the Hadeos System.
Other, much smaller, seed clusters exist in the Ervo Sector.
