Overview

Initially created by The Minmus Derp, the Vernarca Nebula setting evolved from the original form of the Silky Way and is by far the oldest setting within it. At present, it could be considered one of the (if not the primary) main settings of the Silky Way, and it contains by far the most lore. It is unique in that its events have cascading effects even within other settings, especially the Apple Nebula to which it is directly connected by the only known stable wormhole in the galaxy, the Szalana Wormhole. The FSS Kareland also launched from here, bringing the setting into contact with yet more remote realms within the Silky Way's reaches. The actual name for the nebula was created by TheLostProbe to describe a region which contained the few things which he had written at the time, but through a twist of fate the term expanded to include the majority of Silky Way content of the era. At present, the Vernarca Nebula setting contains 53 pages.

How to Collaborate

Due to its age and long history, it is very difficult to collaborate at a large scale within the Vernarca Nebula setting, as its history has been largely nailed down at the highest levels. However, collaboration is much easier at smaller scales – for example, a small nation or system, or even a ship. The same rules as the rest of the Silky Way as described in the Scope landing apply. While it is difficult to add a new element to the lore, it is not impossible. It is also acceptable to take an existing element that has not yet been fleshed out yet, by asking the setting lead The Minmus Derp about it.

Setting

The Vernarca Nebula setting encompasses the nebula of the same name, and all nations, star systems, and worlds found within it. There are approximately 1,000 stars within the nebula's 30-ish light-year length, but this is subject (though unlikely) to change. The nebula is politically dominated by the Vernarcan Federation, a unified alliance between numerous species and nations which spans around a third of the nebula's space and claims territory within the Apple Nebula as well. Other nations exist and hold influence as well, including the Thelsan Assembly, Clans of Azan, Kaegan Sovereignty, Falacian Dominion, Marakat, Voyorras, and others.
